This was the first pure shea butter that I ever tried so I don't know if it is supposed to smell the way this smelled - pungent and earthy in a slightly unpleasant way.I also don't know if my skin just doesn't tolerate shea butter, although I use a lot of other products with shea butter as an ingredient and am completely fine.All I know is that after 2 weeks of use, this thing gave me a bunch of tiny flesh-coloured bumps all over my face, and for a few days before the spots appeared, I'd experience a tight burning sensation on my face at random points throughout the day.Stopped using it immediately after this and my skin cleared back up within a few days. Can't return it as I opened it and started using it so complete waste of money.

Shea butter is a wonderful product of nature that everyone should know about! It has so many uses - hair, skin, massage, treating mild skin irritations etc.If you've never experienced shea butter before, it is of a hard and sticky consistency, so you may want to use a knife or other sharp-edged object to break off the amount you require. You can either melt it down to a thin, oily consistency by putting it in the microwave or on a radiator, or you can simply place a little piece in your palm and use your index finger or thumb to rub and apply pressure to melt it down into a pomade-like consistency. I currently use this method to apply the shea butter to my skin in order to reduce the appearance of a few stretch marks. I think it will work to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, regardless of skin tone, but it may take some time, so if you try shea butter for this reason, don't be disheartened if you see very little or no effect after a month, but continue to use it and it will pay off - unless you have an adverse reaction to it, then obviously discontinue use. If you have sensitive skin, or you're not sure about the product, I recommend trying a smaller portion, like the 100g tub first.I also use shea butter as a staple hair product by mixing about 50g shea butter with about 1.5tbsp extra virgin olive oil and about 1tbspn of a LUSH hair product (to make it smell nice); and I apply a little bit of the mixture to my hair (I have natural afro hair) every other day to leave it soft and moisturised - in case anyone out their needed any ideas.The 500g tub is ample and will easily last me at least 3 months, I was shocked at the quantity when it arrived, and would be very amazed to see the 1kg tub! The product took about 5 days to arrive, which seemed like a long wait to me, but perhaps the company doesn't work over Valentine's, which is around the time I ordered it, as the 100g tub I tried first only took 3 days to arrive. This company packages their products well. Also, the consistency - and colour - of the shea butter may vary from tub to tub, for example my current tub (500g) consists of shea butter that is almost rock hard and a creamy yellow colour, but the previous tub I ordered (100g) consisted of shea butter that was softer than the current tub and more of an off-white colour.Sorry for the long review, but hopefully it helps :)

1st tub I ordered, the product smelled lovely, it was very creamy and yellow in colour as it should be and was making my skin supple and nourished. The second tub, the product was creamy and of the right colour but smelled like cheese. Anyway, I tried it for a while and my skin went flaky so I had to stop using it after less than a week. It is a natural product that contains no preservatives so I thought that it was bad luck and it had gone off and I bought another tub. I opened it and, bad surprise, the product is white, colourless. The texture is granulated, not creamy, hard to melt and to apply. Basically, it seems that the product might have been refined, however the label says unrefined. I am really disappointed. I am not wealthy and I have an atopic skin that also refuses any supermarket or dermatological product. I only can wear natural products that come straight from the plant with little or no transformation so I will have to use this product anyway. But I shall not buy shea butter from this brand again and I buy vitamin E oil and glycerin from them as well and I am worried about the consistency in the quality of their products so I don't know what to do :(

...but it's because is unrefined. Added camomile oil, marula oil and coconut oil and made a body butter for my kids for eczema.

Efectivo pero con olor intenso
Cumple su función, lo estoy usando en el cabello dejándolo hidratando, suave y sin frizz. INCONVENIENTE el olor…. Si te pasas de cantidad aunque te lo enjuagas notas el olor ( que desaparece en 24h o asi) pero reconozco que el olor es muyyyy intenso, es mi primera vez usando karite y no puedo compararlo con otras marcas pero lo seguiré usando ya que los resultados me compensan

Burro di karitè grezzo bio. Senza profumo e con un odore particolare. A me non fa impazzire ma lo uso per le sue enormi qualità. In inverno resta più compatto ed è necessario scaldarlo molto tra le mani per renderlo spalmabile mentre in estate è più semplice. Per superare l'odore basta usare qualche goccia di olio essenziale quando è stato scaldato tra le mani. Non si assorbe facilmente, infatti lo adoro in estate perchè lascia la pelle molto lucida e sulle gambe l'effetto è wow. Un po' più complicato se ti devi sedere su un divano o su superfici lucide.. Comunque per come lascia la pelle sono piccoli difetti che si possono tralasciare. Un barattolo dura tantissimo.

The butter is really fresh and moistures a lot. I use on my body and face and is great for me that have dry skin. The product have a strong “Smokey” odor that I think some people don’t like. The Smokey odor is because it’s fresh so for me it was a good sign. After I put it on my body and face I use a perfume so I don’t even smell the Smokey odor at all :)

È burro di karité grezzo senza conservanti senza profumi senza nulla arriva a pezzettoni l'ideale è diffonderlo nei barattoli tipo del mascarpone conici e dopo si passano le mani per prendere la crema estremamente emolliente anche dopo le scottature da sole veramente un investimento fantastico anche usato come crema solare senza rimanere troppo tempo sotto il sole diretto lo sperimentato al mare è fantastico
