    I bought this brand and model 15 years ago and it's still going strong. It is much more expensive than your average pressure cooker, but it is 100% safe, I've never had an incident with it, it's impossible to open whilst under pressure, and it's got two emergency pressure relief mechanisms in case the main valve gets blocked. In fact if their's a problem with the main valve (dirty, blocked or loose, very easy to fix at home) pressure will not build up in the first place. Whilst under operating pressure it's totally silent, and the cooking results are excellent. From my experience with this (and other, brands), Kuhn Rikon make the best pressure cookers. Even better, they still supply spare parts (rubber ring, plastic top etc) for my 15 year old model, which I'm pleased they still manufacture to this day.Negative point? None at all!

    I've unfortunately been the owner of the long-handled version of this Duromatic Top pressure cooker (plus one other Kuhn Rikon pot) for two years and had to come back to Bolo to express my disappointment in the brand.First of all the large silicone gasket which goes inside the lid developed a tear, and Kuhn Rikon refused to replace it under warranty because "I must have torn it myself". What a CHEEK they have - I couldn't believe it!But what REALLY ruins this product, unfortunately, is the inferior quality, cheap, flimsy, fragile PLASTIC which adorns the top and sides of the pot and lid.The large plastic valve is a flawed design. TWO of them have failed on me in as many years, both because the nasty plastic construction is evidently too weak to withstand occasional use and cleaning.My first valve developed cracks on the side walls. Again, Kuhn Rikon REFUSED to replace this cheap plastic part which probably costs them virtually nothing to produce. Apparently there's only one year's warranty/guarantee on "spare parts" (!). I had to purchase a replacement myself at considerable cost.The second valve also failed because of broken plastic. The mounting hole which secures the large metal screw inside the valve is also made from cheap plastic. This means the only thing holding in the giant metal screw is a 2p plastic tab, easily broken.Then there's the pot's side handles: in the dishwasher they collect water and debris, meaning when the pot comes out you have to rinse them out which is messy and fairly disgusting. I expect the screws which mount the plastic handles to the side of the pot will eventually rust because of this as well.The real point I want to highlight is that while Kuhn Rikon likes to boast about its long warranty/guarantee period, the warranty period for these plastic "spare parts" - including the gasket, valve, and handles - is only one year. Even within the warranty period, you'll have difficulty getting them to replace anything because they'll just blame you for damaging it yourself.

    Excellent design and beautiful construction makes this my favorite pressure cooker. This cooker comes up to pressure quickly and is very easy to use. I've owned many brands of pressure cookers and in my experience Kuhn Rikon are the best. This cooker looks very high quality and like it will last a very long time. This 6 quart model is the ideal size/dimensions for a wide variety of dishes. Very simple design is easy to maintain and spare parts are available and inexpensive.

    El mejor producto en ollas de súper presión. Fácil de usar. El agua interior hierve a una temperatura elevada, no a 100°C, puede ser a 120 o más Tarda en cocinar de 1/3 a 1/4 de tiempo que la cacerola normal de antes.Especial para lugares altos que, al tener baja presión atmosférica, el agua hierve a pocos grados y la comida no cuece. Con esta da igual la altura, sólo influye la presión interna que, como ya dije, es muy alta y se eleva mucho la temperatura de ebullición del interior.Todo un éxito. Esta hecha de material muy fuerte y tiene válvulas que nos protegen de una explosión.Lo mejor que conozco para cocinar rápido y con mucha ahorro de energía eléctrica.

    The simplicity of its design and performance achieved perfectness.After buying an 8-liter cooker, this is now my second order.The level of quality offered surpasses anything that competitors provide.Since the product was unavailable for a while, I decided to test out Fissler Pro, WMF, and Tefal.However, none of them could match the value of the Duromatic I already had.

    Der Schnellkochtopf ist einfach zu bedienen und sicher. Durch seine Seitengriffe passt er auch gut in den Schrank.Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

    La he probado por primera vez, es la primera de esta marca que compro, antes compra a la Fagor rapid express, la diferencia es grande, con esta no sale nada, pero nada, de vapor, es el doble de rápida cocinando o algo más, y se despresuriza ella sola en 5 minutos. Me encanta!!! Aún no he probado a despresurizar más rápido por qué no tenía prisa. Super recomendable, vale lo que cuesta, os lo aseguroMi primera receta ha sido ensaladilla rusa, desde que subió la pesa a la segunda raya lo dejé 8 minutos y ale.... Perfecto
