Perfect fit, lovely colour, looked and feels comfortable, strong material, helps with training my dog to stay calm in stressful situations and gives me control in small environments and keeps her safe
5.0 out of 5 stars Great fit halti, works a treat!
Even after puppy and adult dog training classes our dog could not be trained to walk on the lead without pulling. Eleven years later she’s still the same, but Halti changed all that from the first day we used it. So pleased to see it in different colours now so the gold colour blends in with our dog’s coat - till recently they only were in red or black. Easy to put on once you get the hang of it and doesn’t bother our dog at all - she sits patiently waiting for it to be put on before we leave the house. Would highly recommend.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great product but ignore sizing guide
This product is excellent for stopping our dog from pulling but the sizing information is too vague. We have a large male Dobermann and I bought size 3 according to the sizing instructions as he’s a similar size to a German Shepherd. However, it was far too tight and wouldn’t fit around his neck. I think for a smaller female Dobermann it might be ok but for larger breeds best to measure their necks before you order and ignore the sizing guide in the description.
5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says.
The design of the muzzle is fantastic. It seems comfortable when my dog wears it (although he does struggle with muzzles). I would say it’s a great value for money, the thickness of the fabric is great, it doesn’t seem like he could chew or break his way out. The no-pull design is great! It definitely helps to keep my dogs head under control.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great fitting harness
I bought this after I seemed to be the one being taken on a walk by my dog. He is a labrador and is very strong on the lead. This head harness is perfect, and he no longer pulls at all.
3.0 out of 5 stars My dog hated this
My male lab hated this, I'm sure with time and patience it could be used for a smaller dog. It did not feel stable enough to use for my 20kg 10month old puppy. He is a very strong puller on lead and I just couldn't trust it. I had it on properly and secured and he managed to bite through it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works a treat.
Had several halti headcollars and will go back for many more. Makes walking much easier plus works as a safety measure for anxious dog, giving extra control of needed.
1.0 out of 5 stars Drove my reactive dog wild and is too flimsy
Yes, I followed the guidance to introduce the head collar with treats, before using it to correct pulling behaviour. My reactive dog associated it with treats and became excited to wear it. This was fine until attaching the training lead. As soon as the collar tightened around his muzzle he started to pull and squirm like mad like a conger eel and taking him out on a walk went from challenging to virtually impossible. He wasn't the slightest bit interested in treats whilst wearing it under tension, and too stupid to realise that he was causing the tension himself by pulling. It was also too flimsy and as I persisted with it he was able to chomp through the plastic rings, which I needed to replace with small carabiners. They didn't help much as the harness webbing was also damaged by his chomping whilst being walked.I gave up on it, and took a friend's recommendation to visit a particular pet shop where the proprietor knows how to deal with difficult dogs. I emerged with a Ruffwear Front Range harness used in conjunction with the same 2-ended Halti training lead I'd bought to use with this head collar and had gained the power to stop my dog in his tracks with a sideways tug on the front of the harness. Bliss. He's still reactive and seems to need to re-learn good behaviour on every single walk, but I'm now able to be relaxed about it, knowing that I can stop him in his tracks. It's infinitely better than stopping and him launching into his conger eel impression with the head collar.I don't doubt that this head collar could work with a mostly placid dog that is just a little too eager on the lead, but with a reactive dog, it's a lot worse than nothing and there are more suitable alternatives.
Buen producto
Excelente calidad.
Cabresto halti size 5
Baby boy walks in style with his head harness
I got this Holty harness as I had one for my other dog and my new hairless dog needed something to keep him in line because all he did was pull. I know you have to be extra careful with the head harnesses. You can’t do any quick jerks or you could probably seriously injure your dog so I always warn the grandsons if they are walking him to be careful of that. It seems to work well although it does work itself occasionally, so if you buy it, I suggest that you check it once in a while you should only be able to fit two fingers underneath of it, I attached it to a regular caller as well just in case it ever would become loose so that my pup doesn’t get away. The harness works well and it’s doing a job it’s job, but my dog is just a little ripper and he keeps turning circles like he’s in the circus when he’s walking down the street. He also likes to really show off sometimes and walk on his too high legs , but more In tow without a doubt, then he would be without it. I would recommend it to anyone to use. It is a very good make and has padding around the snow and stuff, but please read the instructions so that you don’t injure your dog in any way shape or form by using it when they pull. They often get snow later like numbness or whatever because they always pick up their Really fast when they get off because I think at times they pull and are getting an numbness
