Viva Decor-Inka-Gold. Inka-Gold is a fast drying metal gloss paint containing natural Bees Wax. The elegant precious metal finish is easy to apply and polish and is weather and water resistant. This package contains one 62.5 gram jar of acrylic paint. Available in a variety of colours (each sold separately). Conforms to ASTM 4236.

I have used this product before not only to re-gild an Edwardian mirror frame but also through stencils in my art journal. The only problem is that in time the wax dries out and it becomes unusable. It is not a cheap product so that is annoying.

Excellent effects. But, having read of a lot of problems with this sort of product (more especially, Rub n Buff), I'm taking no chances and have put some baby wipe in the lid of the jar, to stop it drying out.

Product OK but this is a 62.5g jar as in the description and NOT 100g as in the picture and details.Jar lid says "instructions included " but they are not. Instructions are on picture of the lid on here.Prefer Rub n Buff.1/7/2021 Updated to 5 stars. Put this on a garden gate in 2016 and just renewed it today! Lasted really well. The paste had dried up but added water and stirred for a long time and it was good as new.

I do produce a lot of statues and use always gliding wax to finish them . I recently got an email from a very upset client that his table lamp statue has build mould on it. First I thought he was literally taking the Mickey out of me , but as I keep trace of every art work and the materials used I was able to trace it back to the Inka Gold from Viva. So I opened the pot and to my surprise and disgust it had actually formed mould, on the paste itself and quite a bit of it . I am shocked and this is a clear health hazard. I work with a lot of gliding wax mostly from another supplier and have never come across this issue . I don't know what Viva is using in the wax , but they should remove this item from the market ASAP and Bolo should for sure remove it from their platform . Reading thrue reviews I noticed other have come across the same problem so the company is aware of it and their reply to the other customer it is due to wrong storage adds insult to injury . How are you supposed to store a gliding wax .. explain this to me ? I have now costs on top of loss of reputation by replacing the statue lamp I sslent to my client and offed him a compensation. VIVA you should think about compensation as well as you are the culprit in the story , but maybe I will just hand it to my legal advisor .Shameful and the way the company deals with complains is even worse ... man up and stand behind your product and accept you failed quality control.
Worked great and easy to use
I wanted to make a gold antique picture frame for an oil painting I did. I made the frame from wood trim and then stained it dark brown with watered down acrylic paint matching a bear in the painting. When it dried I lightly rubbed this paint over the top and it came out beautifully! Just like I imagined. And it was not messy at all.

A little goes a long way. It looks great!
I bought a mirror that was brushed nickel for our powder room. Liked the shape and embossed floral treatment at the top. It just needed a bit of aging and softening. Used a bit of this paste with my finger to lightly touch some high points and a few streaks in the treat of the frame. It looks wonderful. Just remember, a very small amount goes a lot way. Drag it out to make it blend.
