Millpledge Puppystim 15ml Puppystim is a unique probiotic and colostrum rich nutritional supplement providing a readily available source of energy to stimulate small, weak, underweight newborn or failing puppies. Puppystim can be used in cases of puppies that are failing to thrive. This is usually established within 2-3 days of birth. The puppy may not be as active, or feeding as well as litter mates. Useful in puppies that have been delivered by caesarean section to give them an initial kick-start as the Dam/Queen will be recovering from general anaesthetic, and there may be a delay in suckling which could lead to a delay in access to colostrum. Could be used in puppies that have been abandoned. It can also be used in puppies where the Queen or Dam had died during birth, as there will probably be no access to maternal antibodies via colostrum. In this case it should be used alongside a preparatory puppy milk as part of the hand-rearing protocol. Use as for newborn. Can be sold to breeders in advance of litters in case any of the above should occur, or breeders may want to use as part of regular routine. Ingredients Medium Chain triglycerides 43.5 Glucose Syrup 22.3 Water 13.51 Hydrolysed Yeast 10 Castor Oil 8 Colostrum 5 Plant extract 1.06 Xanthum Gum 0.95 Sorbic Acid 0.3 Vitamins 0.16 Flavour 0.17 Antioxidants 0.02 Cylactin 3 x10 ^6 CFU/G Caution. Some customers have reported great difficulty with using this product. The syringe tends to stick, then suddenly release on pressure and squirt a large amount of liquid into the back of the mouth which can then be inhaled with disastrous results. It is vital that gradual and slow administration into the mouth is achieved and so this should be practiced before administering as per the instructions. Your vet or vet nurse might be able to advise on different techniques for using a syringe of this type. If in doubt, the product can be given from a small spoon.

Love this product, it’s quite expensive but I give it all my newborn pups as it gives them a boost right after birth, which keeps their energy up. The syringe is difficult to use, but once you suss it out it’s easy.

Our girl delivered 6 healthy chunky babies by elective cesarian (french bulldog) i had bought this in preparation for their arrival as id heard that this stop was an absolute lifesaver. I hadnt planned giving this unless a puppy was failing needing help etc. But when i was reading the syringe it advises to give pups 1 dose soon after birth and another dose 5 hours later. So i thought sod it. May aswell i have it ! so i did exactly that and i have to say i have 6 amazingly healthy pups. They all gained weight at a stable rate, never had a drop in weight at all and have been thriving ever since. Im not sure it was all down to the puppystim but im absolutely convinced it gave them the best kickstart! Glad i didnt need to use it in an emergency situation, but il definately be buying more if i ever breed again.

I used this on my girl throughout a 13hr labour. Came in handy to give her a boost in between each pup especially towards the end and also after when she wasn't feeling too good.This was also used on a set of premature puppies. It gave them enough energy to take a proper feed without getting too sleepy and giving up. I swear no this stuff it's a must for any litter due.DO NOT USE DIRECTLY IN TO PUPPIES MOUTHS. I've had 3 of these 2 shooted so fast out. 1 was ok. At no point did I administer this directly into mouths. If you do you will aspirate the pup.
