Easy to fit (I was able to just screw straight into the ceiling).No false alarms so far.6 year manufacturers guarantee, but just be aware that the ones I received early 2023 were manufactured in 2019 so quite old stock and will need replacing in 8 years - much earlier than might have been.

Easy to fit, small and unobtrusive, this smoke alarm works well and the "hush" button is a valuable extra feature. The unit is in two parts, a baseplate and the smoke alarm. The baseplate fastens to the ceiling with the two screws and plastic plugs supplied then you simply twist-fit the smoke alarm to the baseplate. That's it. A good brand of battery is included and, when fitting the battery, there is an easily set flag that reminds you that there is actually a battery fitted inside after the job is done.Once operational, the smoke alarm has a red LED that flashes every few seconds to remind you that it is working. The alarm has two buttons: one to test it with to get an alarm sound and the other to suppress operation for about ten minutes (so the alarm does not sound whilst you burn the toast!).When the battery starts to fail, the unit gives an occasional beep to alert you to change it. The unit should be changed after ten years and there is a dated label on it to tell you when it was made and when it should be replaced.

Good price & quick delivery. Like the ability to change the battery after my last one (different manufacturer) which claimed a 5 year sealed battery life - it failed after 2 years!

We bought this at the end of January 2024 to replace an identical one of the same make which also didn't last long. This new one has repeatedly beeped for no reason and often blasted off into it's siren for no reason at all, including at night. We have repeatedly replaced batteries, reset, cleaned, dusted and puffed with compressed air to try and clear the fault but no, it continues to wake us at night with false alarms and deafens us randomly through the day.We clicked on product support via Bolo which took us to the US website which does not provide input for UK addresses. The guarantee instructions that came with the smoke alarm ask for the buyer to post it back to their UK depot AND prepay the return postage which would work out more expensive than buying a new one. We are thoroughly unimpressed and would never recommend Kidde alarms and will NOT be buying another one. We are disappointed and annoyed.

es ist ein guter der Rauchmelder leider ist keine Deutsche Bedienungsanleitung dabei, wäre aber besser für eine einwandfreie handhabung, das es sich ja um einen Stummschaltbaren Rauchmelder handelt.
