Addi Dropping stitchesThis is the second Addi Express that I have purchased within a year., and overall, I am quite pleased with the performance. Lets go through the pros and cons!ProseThe machine works well , with issuesI make about 5-6 hats per day for charityWhen clamped down it forms a ridged construction.Price wise I think this machine is only worth £80.00 at present,See the faults listThe machine on the face of it appears to be q1uite well builtCons & faultsThe first thing is a needle broke and retailing at £8.00 a bag of 5 I thought this was quite expensive.As time went by I broke another and another. So, I decided to strip the machine.1 there was a sever lack of lubricant, so this was corrected by lubricating with a silicone formulated for plastics. DO NOT GET ANY LUBRICANT ON THE BACK OR FRONT OF THE NEELDLE ONLY ON THE TRACK IT RUNS ON.2 After assembling this worked a lot better and even more quietly3 Then after a while it started to jump gears, that’s the grating nose you hear front time to time. This was the gear on the handle which appeared to be quite loose. So, we strip the machine again, and find that there is back and forth movement of 3mm and the same for the up and down movement.4 As there is no adjustment, I packed this out wit 1 winding of double knitting wool followed by several wraps of PTFE plumbing tape the tape acts a lubricant5 Reassembled it is 100% better.6 One one more fault is that it dropped stiches ant bad tension. Every time I stopped and started again the tension wold be slightly different and this would show in the pattern.7 To cure this, I fitted a tensioning part from a sowing machine problem solved. As to the lost stitches, which has happened since new. This was due to where the wool threads to, I moved this to an angle 0f 30% now I never drop a stichSo now I have 2 machine that work very well and haven’t drooped a stich or jumped a gear. Out of the 2 I have converted one to electric with an electric row counter, the row counter is fitted is quite hard to see the first 2 digits.After all the mods the machine is worth the asking price of £140.00

I bought this for my wife and she is over the moon with it. this is the first circular knitting machine she has had.I was intrigued with it so much so and I never thought I would say this I used it and often help her out with the stuff she makes.It is so fast.It is well made and comes with a plethora of extras plus great instructions for round and flat knitting.It's incredible.Highly recommend, I think we will go for the smaller one as well

I deliberated for such a long time as to whether to buy this or not. I read so many reviews over time for this and other makes.I have a friend who bought one of these quite a while ago, so it came highly recommended.However, I still wasn't persuaded enough due to the difference in cost.I almost bought a different one but decided to just go for this in the end.I obviously can't do a comparison, but what I can do is tell you how I'm loving this Addi Express. It is so easy to use. It feels sturdy and comes with optional clamps to temporarily secure it to the table during use.I leave it out secured to one of the tables in my craft room, so can easily use it whenever.What I would say is that not all yarn is equal and will not behave in the same way even if it's the same weight. Take your time, especially 'casting on' and for first couple rows. Make sure there are no missed stitches and then you're good to go.Some yarn just does what it's supposed to do straight away, but others need an eye on them to begin with.One tip I can give you is, if you find that the yarn is bouncing off during cast on, put a clothes peg on the long cast on tail to give it a bit of weight to hold it down gently to help keep it in place.The machine is a work horse and so far, I've tried DK, Aran and Chunky weight.Although pricey compared with others, I think I'm going to work it hard and hopefully it will last a long time.It's definitely helping to get a lot more charity knits out in super quick time.

Works like a charm
Easy to get started using the Addi. I've tried other Sentro models and the Michaels house brand, and the Addi is in a different league altogether. The crank is super smooth, and tensioning is easy to make sure that stitches don't drop. Spend the extra to get the Addi, as it's well worth the time in not fixing dropped stitches.
I love my addi
I purchased both the 22 and 46 needle addi knitting machines. I've had them for several months and I love them both.The machines are easy to use, and there are lots of YouTube videos that helped me to get to know my machines. I've made scarf sets, sweaters, blankets, and stuffed animals using my addis.The addi does well with 1-4 weight yarn. I have also used a 5 weight yarn, but it is tough on my Addis, and I have ended up with dropped stitches, the handle constantly skips and doesn't rotate to the next needle, so I've had to push it along, and it breaks needles. It is doable with a 5 weight, but it takes a lot of extra work and patience.I'm a knitter and crocheter, but it's difficult for me to do either because of arthritis. The addi machines have given me back the joy of both.I also have 22 and 48 needle Sentros, which are good. But, I am partial to, and would recommend the addi. I feel these machines are built tough and built to last.
Funciona fenomenal y tiene buena sujeción
Me ha gustado mucho la compra que he hecho. Es una tejedora muy estable, la sujeción es perfecta, no se mueble cuando estas tejiendo, es muy fácil de utilizar, incluso viendo algunos videos por internet aprendes su funcionamiento enseguida, no es nada complicada. El envío es muy rápido, viene muy bien protegida con su caja. Yo me he comprado los dos tamaños: la pequeña de 22 agujas y la grande de 46 agujas y he hecho una compra estupenda. Yo he comenzado a tejer mantas de cuadros y veo que tiene muchas posibilidades de hacer muchas cosas, sólo tienes que ver videos de esta máquina en internet y verás las cosas que hacen.Aconsejo su compra es perfecta y muy resistente

E’ stato un regalo molto apprezzato… arrivato nei tempi previsti e confezionato bene, il materiale è buono e resistente, ci sono pure i fermi per ancorarlo al tavolo, e completo di accessori per eseguire i lavori con la lana… basta fare la scansione del QR code che trovate sia sulla scatola che nel fogliettino interno e si possono guardare i video tutorial di come incominciare a utilizzare il macchinario al meglio ottenendo buoni risultati…sono soddisfatto per la felicità di chi l’ha ricevuto…
