It's a lovely, sturdy, colourful jigsaw which has the sounds of the animals as an additional bonus.As always with Melissa and Doug products, it's great value.The pegs on the pieces are great for developing fine motor skills too

Love Melissa & Doug sound puzzles! The vehicle one is a bit noisy on the ears especially when the ambulance or fire engine sounds go off although baby boy doesn’t seem to mind!

As with all wooden toys I've purchased from Melissa & Doug, the quality of the material and the paintings are just great. The sound effects are also fabulous, loud and clear. The pieces are light and easy for my 1 year old to take out of the puzzle easily, no sticking. You can turn the sound on and off, which is a god send if your wee one has lost a piece and you can't find it for a couple hours....!! I only wish that the sounds were activated when you lifted the pieces out of the puzzle, not just when you put them in. But this is the only thing I feel is lacking. All round great.

A lovely little puzzle I bought for my daughter. Well made and she still enjoys playing with it now at 3y. However if the pieces aren’t in their places and someone switches the lights off, we have a car ambulance and fire engine going off at the same time and it sounds as though there was been a collision in the back room haha. But we find this funny and just remember to put the pieces back, or keep it face down! No on/off button. Child is happy so a good buy!

I want to start by saying we are huge Mellissa and Doug fans however this particular puzzle falls short of expectations. We bought this for our 2 year olds birthday and while he loves the puzzle pieces themselves the sound function is very frustrating. Each sound will only play after the previous one has fully finished and trying to convince a toddler he has to wait before completing the next piece is rather problematic. I've also heard it go off a few times while we aren't playing with it so there is definitely a little to be desired with the overall function. Apart from this the puzzle is very sturdy as expected from Mellissa and doug and the pictures are fabulous for a vehicle obsessed child like mine. We also have the cheaper vehicle jigsaw puzzle from this brand and just can't justify the price difference when the function isn't really 100%. Great idea behind the product just a little lacking

Again a beautifully made wooden puzzle from Melissa & Doug, who never fail me in the quality of their toys. Lovely printed pictures and pieces, also has an Old MacDonald tune as each piece is taken out/in then can be either turned off or on.

Melissa and Doug products are very durable and these puzzles are no different. Perfect for little hands to put pieces in easily. I did notice that using batteries from a dollar store the sound is not as loud but name brand batteries the sound was louder and clearer.

Touch sensors is not functioning as intended
Even if you have the piece couple of centimeters above the wooden base, it starts playing the other vehicles' sounds when passing through them.Creates such confusion and it's definitely not working as intended.Else, of course you can hold the bloody piece high above your head or such, and put it directly to the relevant slot, which a toddler can't and won't.Another junk goes to the trash.
