I love this! It is very salty so be careful but it tastes great and the carton lasts for ages.We use this in popcorn made on the hob and I would go as far to say as it is better than cinema popcorn!

Wow, absolutely makes your home made popcorn taste amazing. You’ll need to experiment to get your perfect level of buttery saltiness, it’s strong stuff so go easy to start. I put it over the unpopped kernels in the pan and then add more once popped if needed. About half a teaspoon total to a third of a cup of kernels. It also works as a ‘base’ flavour if you are making sweet popcorn. The pack may seem pricey but with the tiny amount you use, it’s a bargain.

This thing is a big carton of flavored salt. The price tag isn't low but it seems like you'll never run out. Half of a teaspoon or less in the pot with some coconut or sunflower oil and the kernels and in 5 minutes you'll have a wonderfully tasty and relatively healthy snack high in fiber! Smells and tastes fantastic. Remember that this is basically salt so drink plenty of water!

OK - in the UK popcorn isn't a big thing - but in the states they've got it down to a fine art...Folks either go in search (for literally years!) for the authentic premier movie theatre taste or have special recipes. Most this stuff you can readily get in the UK but one or two bits you'll probably have to ship from the US - just search around the usual sites - it is available if not cheap - going direct sometimes helpsThe authentic US movie theatre recipe:- 1 Whirligig popper- 4 TBLsp Extra virgin coconut oil (depending how big your popper is :)- 4 TBLsp Snappy Popcorn Butter Burst Buttery Oil (this brand has stronger color & flavor)- Heat up & add one small cup quality popcorn kernels- 1-2 TEAsp Flavacol salt - slowly sprinkle all over so it doesn't go to the btm. This stuff is so fine it dissolves in the oil & sticks, has butter aroma, & a concentrated zing. Don't put too much on or it will rip your face off lol. Now cook..Wait til all the popping's v nearly finished and your done - tweak exact combo to your taste & whirligigSeasoning:- 1 Hand pump dispenser (Snappy comes in a 1 Gallon can)- Slightly warm some Snappy Butter Burst Oil & lightly apply n turn (it's a topping too - great movie taste)- Or for purists melt some clarified butter - apply n turn. To make clarified butter just microwave a block, let it set in a tray, pour off the water. That's why regular butter always makes the popcorn soggy.- Alternatively, instead of a butter topping just smother it in cheese powder - Stilton is totally scrummy.Takes a little practice, but get this just right & it will make your family n friends go wowFor a whole bunch of different recipes try snappypopcorn.com (there's other suppliers & recipes too)Most folks don't know the authentic US ingredients so here it is and hope ya'll enjoy :D

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice but expensive and doesn’t stick to the popcorn

    h.c. · 3 August 2024

My children enjoy the flavour of this however there are 2 main issues with it, firstly it really does not stick to the popcorn, we’ve tried a few different ways to get it to stick and the most effective is to spray it with some oil; we used a coconut oil spray even then most of the seasoning falls off and just sits in the bottom of the bag - this is really frustrating.Second issue is it’s very costly, admittedly you don’t have to use a great amount for a bowl of popcorn but I think for the quality it’s overpriced.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great taste and a little goes a long way

Really nice product gives a lovely flavour, doest work with popcorn that has been air popped (popcorn makers, microwave dry popped) but works lovely if you have done it in a pan as the air popped is to dry for it to stick to.I dont think we will ever use this full carton in our lifetime as you only need a tiny amount, for a medium sized pan of popcorn (giving you a large bowl or 4 popcorn cones) I use half a teaspoon any more than that and its too salty to eat. We have about 2 bowls a week and we have only used a tiny amount. So very good value for money.Gives off a lovely smell of buttery popcorn and a really nice flavour

2.0 out of 5 stars just tastes like salt

disappointing bt basically just salt nothing else

5.0 out of 5 stars Concentrated Salt

    S.R. · 21 March 2022

Wait what? *Concentrated* salt? Salt's alr4eady concentrated, I hear you cry.Yeah but no but yeah. See, there's Rock salt - big chunks. THere' sEa salt - flakes. There's Table salt, which is grains. And there's Flavacol which is so much smaller than table salt that it's nearly liquid.Meaning there's about twice as much in a spoonful than you think.Which is why there's all these 1-star 'It's so salty!!' reviews: It is. It is saltier than table salt. It's also butter scented and flavoured so there's that.Look the correct amount for 'a cup' of popcorn kernels is HALF a teaspoon. Or 3/4 if you're a salt fiend.Which sounds cautious but trust me, it's correct. And once you figure out the right amount, you realise you've bought enough Flavacol for around 250-300 bowls of popcorn. And yeah, it smells right. It's got that proper pop-corn butter scent. Is it sweet and salty? No, are you paying attention? NO, it's straight up salt.

    Super Qualität!

Es ist wirklich wie im Kino!!!:)

    Buenísimo

    E.K. · 16 October 2019

Le da ese toque de cine. Solo uso un 1/4 cucharadita para un 1/3 taza de maiz y lo mezclo bien con 2 cucharadas de aceite de coco. Usando un micro popper estilo Lekue. Durará para varias porciones.

Entire package came with a strong smell of butter.
