  • Our beautiful Fair Trade handmade sari-covered plain notebooks will add a burst of colour to your writing. The beautiful sari material comes from Varanasi, one of the most religious cities in the world and a centre of excellence for sari making.
  • The perfect size to slip into your bag, they're the ideal companion for notes, doodles, or even to-do lists. Expertly crafted using both contemporary and traditional methods, each one is bound by hand and ready to withstand any knocks or bumps.
  • Each notebook is filled with 30 pages of handmade khadda paper. This sustainable material is crafted by hand from recycled cotton, salvaged from the waste of the Indian garment industry. Only unbleached cotton is used, ensuring the paper is acid-free.
  • Lightly textured and luxuriously thick the smooth paper in our notebooks feels beautiful to write, draw, or paint on. While it's perfect for ball-point pens, gel pens, or watercolours, we wouldn't recommend it for use with fountain pens.
  • The paper in all our journals and photo albums is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women's education and their social standing in rural villages. We are fortunate enough to visit them every year, having worked with them for many years.

    I did not realise this notebook would be so slim- I thought it would be quite fat like two others I have. However it’s very nice with thick paper and a cord to wrap around it. I am using it as a book to record my dreams.
