This is my second one. I bought one after a hip replacement operation almost 10 years ago. It made it possible for me to put socks on without having to ask my wife for help. That model had a minor issue with the sewing and attachment of the tapes which was easily rectified with a needle and cotton and has been changed on this latest model. The old ones were also useful when arthritis and an old back injury flared up so got use after the hip was sorted out. It also went out on loan at one stage as a friend had hurt his back and needed help to put socks on for a while. He ended up buying his own just in case it happened again. This is a replacement as the original just wore out over the years but with a large garden and a love of walking it still got a lot of use, but the arthritis still persists. Basically a good purchase for anyone that has mobility issues but wants the independence of not having to ask someone else to help with putting on their own socks at a sensible price. I fully recommend this.

I bought this for my 87 year old father when he had a hip replacement after falling off his bike (I kid you not, 87 and still going for bike rides)! He was no longer able to bend to put on his socks after the operation. I looked on line and found various contraptions meant to help. I chose this one as it looked simple and was one of the cheaper ones. Dad has had great success with it. He finds it very easy to use. The towelling holds the socks in place on the aid just enough to enable you to pull the sock up the leg but not so much that you are unable to extract the aid. I'm not sure how long it will last as I suspect the towelling will probably wear through and I do think it is quite expensive for what it is but, having said that, I would not hesitate to buy a replacement as it has enabled my father to dress independently. I recommend this product.

Badly in need of a hip replacement, I can't reach my feet and bought this item to help me put my socks on.At first glance I thought "What the...?" But it turned out to be most effective and comfortable to actually use, and does the job perfectly, drawing socks all the way up.My only niggle lies in when trying to slide the socks on the long green fingers. It would be nice if the fingers could be curved to meet in the middle so they don't get caught in the sock fabric.Would buy these again

The previous model bought in June 2020 was a lot more robust the strapping pull is a lot thinner the strapping is only attached to the outer clothe with one row of stitches which is now starting to separate from the cloth after only two weeks of use there is no way that the sock pull will last 3years like the last one as I require the use of the sock pull I have had to secure and strengthen the stitches Mr M Manning

I first purchased one of these a few years ago and as I am disabled I found it very useful after quite a while one of the pull tabs came off so about three months ago I purchased another one however that one has only lasted about three months and the same thing happened again. Is it possible that the side pull straps could be attached better as the product itself is really useful for disabled people like myself.

if you have a bad back, hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, or all of these things, you must buy this sock fitter. There is nothing so simple or easy to put your socks on. I don't even have to sit down to put my socks on. it has been life-changing to not have to bend over to put socks on. seriously the energy this device has saved my body is nothing short of amazing, let alone what it has done for my feet' health and the comfort of being able to wear socks again. I have had back issues forever and recently just had a full hip replacement. As I said a life changer. BUY TWO :)
