5.0 out of 5 stars It works and seems to taste good!
I have been using this with my cat for a couple of months now, and felt that I should give a review as it seems to be pretty impressive stuff. The best thing about it, is that it mixes well into the cat’s food, and seems to taste good, as my fussy cat does eat it.My boy cat died suddenly 3 months ago, and his sister, who used to be irritated by him mostly, struggled with him suddenly being gone. She started going to the litter tray lots, and either not weeing or just a little. I took her to the vet’s and he gave her something similar, and recommended that I bought this when that was finished.I open the capsule and mix the contents into her food, once a day. She eats her food well and has no more bathroom problems. She seems relaxed and happy. It is such a weight off my mind, as there is less worry about losing her too now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helped our stressed and ageing Tomcat to calm down and urinate normally again
our 11year old tomcat started to show several stress symptoms by over-licking, urinating around the house and developed an inflamed bladder due to anxiousness in going out to pee, a result from the increase in numbers of other younger tomcats in the neighbourhood. The vet recommended us Cystophan which we have now been giving him daily for ca 8 months and he has improved a great deal since we started the treatment. We also installed an indoor litter tray, because he gets bullied by neighbouring cats and gets too anxious to go out. His over-licking has stopped completely, he does not urinate anywhere other than his litter try or outside and all his fluffy belly hair has grown back, he is generally a much more relaxed and happy cat.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very good value from Amazon
My 10 year old ex rescue cat that has been with me for 9 years now has had problems with her bladder for over a year. I bought Cystophan after visiting the vet and although they took a while to work, the cystitis seemed to clear up but returned a few months later. Since then she has been back on Cystophan but this time they have not resolved the problem for some reason. She has also been on Waterfall D-Mannose which are supposed to be excellent for bladder issues and at times she will urinate more, then on other days she hardly passes anything. She is currently on antibiotics from the vet for a urine infection which was discovered 2 weeks ago. She is still getting the Cystophan as an ongoing medication and I will update if things change. She won't use the water fountain we bought but my husband say she likes to drink from the outside bowl of water! She is now kept off dry food and only gets wet now so I am keeping my fingers crossed that we can finally resolve her cystitis issue. I don't think she is stressed in any way (unless she has been to the vet) as she is a happy cat and living in a quiet household with a cat companion and a lovely kind dog that she loves. When she arrived here 10 years ago she was a terrified little thing due to the bad times she had been through and if she had had the issue then, I would have been able to understand it but can't understand why she has it now and it is really frustrating and worrying.
5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended by vet following urinary blockage
My Maine Coon cat had a urinary blockage at 9 months old. He had to have an emergency operation to unblock him and after a stressful couple of weeks and lots of worry, medication and expense (luckily we had him insured) he fully recovered. At the time, the vet said there was quite a high chance of urinary tract could block again and talked about a bypass operation which we were considering. She then rang to say she had spoken to a senior vet and he said the bypass was extreme action and usually for cats that had recurring blockages. The vet recommended Cystophan for his bladder health (2 per day due to his size) and she suggested he be on them for life. I buy a 240 pack every 3-4 months so it is quite expensive but my cat is now 3 and 1/2 years old and had no further issues so I believe that they work and I don't want to risk taking him off them so it's worth it for the peace of mind. Usually easy to pull the capsules apart (I've had 2 tubs where I had to use a sharp knife to cut off the very end of the capsules which was a bit of a pain) and mix them in with his wet food every morning and he licks the bowl clean. She initially thought that his original blockage may have been caused by holding in his wee due to stress so he had also been on Amitriptylene since the op but I'm happy to say we have weaned him off that. He is a happy cat but he will hide if he hears sudden/loud noise and I can't say for sure if the Cystophan is helping with his stress levels as I haven't tried taking him off them to see what he's like without them, but I'm happy to say he has had no further issues with his bladder so I would definitely recommend this product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Reliable service and good product.
It is important that there is no delay when it comes to this product. It is a good product and good price as well as no hassles in it being delivered quickly. Very happy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant meaty smell!
Brought these as the cat was having urinary issues. They helped support his tiny bladder on a road to recovery. They mix well in food and have a meaty smell to them that is appealing to the cat when it's added to his food. Would highly reccommend this product for your feline. LArger quantities also help with costs as the 30 capsule alternative is not cost effective
3.0 out of 5 stars Good Value
I bought this for my cat who unfortunately has a urinary tract infection. The vet suggested a similar product which was three times the price of this!It basically does the same thing and the ingredients and nutrients are more or less the same.My cat loves them!
Give it a try
I have a male cat that has had many many bouts of FLUTD. It started with noticing blood in the urine and progressed to multiple attempts to urinate without success. I took him to Vet with first episode and had a catheter placed but was never really given answer what was going on. It was not an experience I wanted my cat to go through again….I agonized whether to take him back to Vet with recurring episode. Each episode had a predictable pattern, always eventually resolved but they seemed to return every month or so. I hated to see him strain to urinate 100 times a day:(. I would try different supplements , methionine seemed to help turn each episode around quicker. I also did the other typical recommendations ….changed the diet to wet food, got water fountains etc., did the calming diffusers. Then I read somewhere about Cystophan, I researched it and decided to give it a try. Knock on wood, he’s hasn’t had an episode for more than a year. I take the capsule and pour contents onto palm of my hand, then I top it with his favorite Churu treat & he gobbles it up. If this had any bitter or unpleasant taste I promise he would detect it and refuse it.I just have him lick it out of my hand to make sure he gets it all….but sprinkling on food is also an option. My story of success of course is just testimonial but if you’re debating and at your wits end I would give it a try.
I use this for my cat and it works great to keep the cystitis from coming back!
It took a long time to arrive but it works great!
