5.0 out of 5 stars My westie loves Lily's kitchen
My westie (15 weeks old) didn't get a good start to life being ripped from his mummy at only 6 weeks and then being kept in a shed by a local dealer for 2 weeks until I came to the rescue. He struggled to keep most foods down except for my home cooking (!) On bought food (which included some of the very best and most expensive from the vets) he had stale breath and really really bad wind (rear end wind) which could clear the sitting room of people in less than 10 seconds! His poo was always sloppy and every now and then some blood and mucus would appear in his poo - the vet said not to worry but I was concerned. He was also regularly nibbling at his front gets as if he was itching all the time. Consequently, I found myself having to feed him gourmet rice (he likes Jasmine rice) and Morrison's extra tasty chickens with some veggies mashed in. As you can guess, this was time consuming and very costly given a cooked chicken costs £6 and lasted him for about 4 meals. I discovered Lily's Kitchen via the recent TV documentary and thought I'd give it a go with him. Well, he absolutely adores all the foods I have tried him with so far. He loves the breakfast crunch (it smells so pleasant even I would eat it!), he goes nuts for the wet food and the biscuits - it all looks so healthy and smells nice - his little nose is straight in the bowl and he doesn't come up for air until he's finished the whole lot. He's not vomited any of it back, his poo is nice and firm (and easy to pick up rather than having to spoon it off the floor) and there are no more foul doggy farts to contend with (he's been on Lily's kitchen now for a week). His breath also smells nice, he's not drinking so much water and he seems to listen to me in training sessions much more; anyone with a westie will appreciate getting a westie puppy's attention is a challenge so I consider this remarkable !All in all, I would recommend this to anyone. It is more expensive than Chum etc but having noticed the dramatic improvement in my dog in only a week I consider it worth every penny :) (and so does my dog ;p )
4.0 out of 5 stars Good product
We have a little Cavapoo who is extremely fussy about what she will eat, and we have had to switch to different brands at times. I think these are good quality, and for now she seems to enjoy them. I personally think they are a bit expensive and that the branding and organic content is aimed at owners rather than the dog. We all want to know that we provide our pets with the best food we can afford, but it is stretching it a bit to call dog food 'Sunday Lunch' or 'Cottage Pie' etc. Unfortunately I am one of the owners who fell for that marketing, and still do! It is a good quality product, I will buy more, but it is pricey. Very quick delivery by Bolo which is very useful and convenient.

5.0 out of 5 stars Product brilliant but packaging very inadequate.
The product is brilliant, but the packaging used to send it to me was very inadequate as out of the 11 in the package ordered, only 4 were not damaged. The damage was quite bad. They weren't shipped in a box to protect them but only a paper bag.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality dog food
My dog loves lily's kitchen and it smells like actual meaty food.I can recommend the trays, tins, and kibble with this brand. My old dog used to have severe allergies and skin problems and it was one of the very few foods she could eat.I have tried other brands with my current dog and reverted back to lily's kitchen- much to her delight. In fact my friends dogs all love the food and empty their plates when visiting. It is pricier than some dog foods but that is reflected in the quality of the product. This is evident from when you read the ingredients from the meat/veg/identifiable content and lack of byproducts and fillers through to the health of your dog. It also isn't full of fillers so they don't need to eat as much and it smells better than other foods, once your dog has processed it into little presents.
3.0 out of 5 stars Used to be great. Not the best nutrition for the price...
I've been feeding my intact male, English Cocker Spaniel this for a couple of years, and it seemed great, but, having done some research, and having to feed him the Lilys organic chicken biscuits along with this to be affordable, it really is quite exorbitantly priced per meal for the nutrition the mix of the two offers. If I was to just feed him only these trays, it would work out around £6+ per day. This flavour (organic beef tray) has nearly doubled in price for x11 for some reason too? What?! The food seems OK but to be honest, he just isn't that interested anymore, but, beef is the preferable of the three flavours. I have had a few trays that haven't been quite right, i.e, gaps, discoloured bits on top, but nothing as repulsive as what some have mentioned. It used to smell delicious, now, it smells cheap. I had no idea it is produced by Nestle either, it gives off a completely different vibe to the dreadful 'Bakers' which it shares the brand with...You may aswell feed your dog sawdust and a Centrum if you're thinking of buying Bakers (please don't do that).... I have switched to a raw food subscription, it arrives dehydrated and you just add warm water, let it sit for 10 mins and its good to go- no added nonsense, all the nutrition comes naturally from the organic, human grade ingredients. It works out cheaper for better food, sorted! I admit Lily's brand drew me in, thinking it was an independent person who had managed to put together and share with us a homely, organic food for their dog, Lily. (Maybe it used to be?) False advertising tugging at my heart strings. It's one of the reasons I justified paying a little extra... The meat trays are fairly good nutritionally, very pricey, the organic biscuits I have to add are average and overpriced.Maybe great and affordable for a toy breed.

My dog seems to like it alright
Not sure how I can actually rate this item since I of course did not taste it, but my dog seems to like it, the ingredients seem clean enough, and the tins are easy to open.
My Poodle won't eat anything else
We gave up trying to find a food in the U.S. that our dog liked - now we order it from the UK. Well worth the high cost.
