('Professional' model) So, this performs as a calculator should and has the necessary TVM functions. It will fulfil your CFA needs, and is the better option (imo) over the BAii+ or the HP. However it is not without its issues - which have largely been covered by other reviewers, but here you go:In terms of build quality, for the money I wish it had a cover, and that the keys were easier to press (they're quite stiff, which makes typing without error slow - unfortunate during exams). The liquid ink screen is also quite sensitive, if you press around the edges of the glass top you will get a leak in the screen which can last a while (see photo), though it eventually fades. However the build is otherwise more solid than the regular BAii+.In terms of use, I desperately wish this had a delete/undo function and an accessible calculation history. I would gladly pay more for this feature. The calculator clearly has a memory (used for TVM functions) but you will still have to retype entire chains of formulas because of a single typo you have immediately noticed but can't undo, and you are unable to review your formula to check it over if the result looks off, so you don't know what to change.The screen also only shows outputs (and only to 10 digits, including decimal places), not inputs. Have you remembered to use brackets? Did you put that decimal place in correctly to your last formula? Did you just press 1/x or y^x? Who knows? Trust that you have successfully pressed the buttons down far enough. It will not deign to show you what you're doing.It's a 3 star calculator in the wider market, but I am obliged to use one of these three specific calculators, so compared to its CFA peers it's 4 stars.Ps, Good luck with your exams ☺️

I bought this for the CFA exam. The professional edition has less reliable key presses (sometimes you think you've pressed a key and you haven't). This deficiency undermines its utility. You don't need that kind of additional stress when you are under exam conditions! The limited additional functionality is has over the BAII Plus is negated by this. If I could buy again, I would go for the BAII Plus, not the professional.If you do choose to get this version, then a recommendation I've seen is to put it on a hard surface (rather than holding it in your hands) as this increases the key press reliability.

I bought this calculator because I found the buttons on the regular version finicky. I noticed that sometimes I would think I pressed a button but the calculator had not registered it. As I began to do calculations more quickly, sometimes I wouldn't catch that I'd missed a number... very frustrating.The professional has a much better feel and is much more responsive. I would recommend this calculator to anyone in need of TI BA II. If you're in need of one for your CFA exam I highly suggest this be the one.

This calculator is clumsy, the built-in functions are counter-intuitive and the whole thing is just not the type of tech you'd expect in this day and time.The screen only shows 1 line, and makes it difficult to know what your prior entries have been, a big handicap for lengthier functions.The keys are slow and insensitive, often missing strokes unless you punch them with force.Changing mathematical settings is difficult, and there is no display showing what your current settings are. I always doubt whether the result is correct, or whether i need to sanity check it, in which case, there is little use of having a calculator at all.The only reason why this calculator is in business is because it's required by american educational programs such as CFA.If you're looking for a calculator to help you out in actual life, then go with Casio.

This really is a fine piece of machinery. Anyone doing their CFA exams must have this! Although the product does lack a sturdy cover, the calculator itself has only a few more options than the student version such as NFV, PB and DPB, but the buttons and responsiveness are far superior.Please bear in mind, anyone "new" to this calculator, the user interface will be frustrating for no more than a week, you will get used to it. I recommend the seller "calculators-online" as I practically got a next day delivery (but your experience may differ).
