5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant as ever.
When I was teaching I bought three of these for the class, they were extremely popular. Now that I am retired I’ve bought this for myself to keep the brain active. It’s lost none of its magic. You do need to be near a light source for the solar panels to work.
5.0 out of 5 stars Make learning fun
Great learning tool my grandson who is 5 absolutely loves it. The levels build up to suit ability and after 2 wrong answers you are given the correct answer.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good calculator. Battery works on sun
Good calculator. Battery works on sun, very economical and reliable for kids to learn maths and start liking it. Does not have simple equations or sounds like previous models
5.0 out of 5 stars sum heaven, just as I remember!
bought for my little boy age 8.Great present for learning math. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division at 5 different levels, just like it was when I had one many moons ago!The only thing is that its solar powered which obviously means can only been used in light, strong daylight!Would be better if had batteries as back up.Great little present though, My son will be a genious!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Had one as a child, now my children have one too! Great learning item
I had one of these as a child, when I saw this I knew it was a must for my children! My 6, 7 & 9 yr olds share this, it's ideal for all there ages, and has 4 levels so they go on their appropriate levels, I even play on it! Highly recommended as they have fun while learning
5.0 out of 5 stars old and good idea
does not look as cute of the one my daughter used 40 years ago, but sloar is a good addition the new one is for my grand daughter to help her follow Mum to Oxford
3.0 out of 5 stars It's OK - quite basic functions but solar power is temperamental
I had a little professor as a child (infact still have it) but thought i would treat the children to the updated version. I was a bit disappointed to be honest. It's OK but the functions are quite basic compared to some of the *Free* times tables apps that their school recommend we use. That said it's nice to avoid screen time sometimes or for travel or in the car so I thought it was worth a try. My biggest issue was with the solar panel and trying to use it indoors with lights on. Unless the device was fully facing the light source in the room the screen was at times unreadable. I had to keep turning it towards the light to read the sums. My kids lost interest after that. We will persevere and I'll update if the experience improves but initial impressions aren't great. I bought 2, one for each of my children, but will return the unused one for now.
4.0 out of 5 stars Learning is life long
Get this gadget, instead of sticking a tablet or mobile in your childs hands. Which I never do... I was given the original as a gift bout 35 years ago. Living the memories through my children now. Sure isn't that what life is all about. Get that phone out of your hand and hold your childs hands. They grow up so quick and you will have much to be sorry for as they get older. Sit with them, help them, listen!! To them. That is where you will find life's joy and fulfillment. And trust in Christ. 😊
Makes acquiring math facts fun.
My grandsons (13 and 10) have been using the Little Professor to tune up their math facts for several months. They began with multiplication, but now do a mixture of math facts daily. They are becoming quite proficient and do not mind doing five quizzes every day. A worthwhile investment.
Tolles Sache zum lernen
Ich finde den Rechner toll. Es macht sehr viel Spaß mit ihm zu üben
