decent paraffin wax - perfect for waxing your bike chain - no scent or colour, no daft additives to spoil performance - it accepted ptfe powder without problems and im sure graphite would mix in without fuss. it can be dissolved using xelene to make up chain dressing for ease of use - the xelene evaporates completely leaving no residues - jst a dry film of wax.

This wax, when I bought it, was well priced at £7.99 plus a couple of quid for postage. As I'm writing, the price has shot up to £19, which is hideously overpriced.Anyway, as for the wax itself, it's quite good and is easy to work with. I mix it with Stearin which helps to give an even burn. It also produces a very hard, long-burning candle. (Haven't tried it without Stearin.)The wax lost stars because it shrinks by a great deal when it cools. I'm aware that shrinkage is expected when using paraffin wax, but this wax seems to shrink a lot. I've had to top-up candles three times in order to get a level top.
