I purchased this product in April 2023 and have been using it constantly since then. It's now July 2024 and having just undergone total hip replacement surgery, it is one of the most useful helping hand aids I require. It works exactly as described and is as good as new. Simple to use. I wouldn't be without it and highly recommended it to others who need help putting on socks.

Excellent and useful aid after a hip replacement (the "how to do it" has been well-described by other reviewers). However, use it slowly and fairly carefully, because I suggest that the points at which the straps connect to the "slider" could be a weak point and might -if not treated with care- break off. You have been warned...!

I bought this sock aid as a replacement for one (according to Bolo) that I bought six and a half years ago - so I’ve used it to put a sock on more than 5,000 times - I was astounded: my old one hasn’t broken, it’s just that the towelling wore very thin and the appliance felt less robust. I was going to keep the new one in reserve but it’s even easier to use so I’ve retired my old one.

This device works very well, compared to others on the market the flatter contour of the sole of the device makes it easier to use and less chance of catching the little toe when putting socks on. I bought one of these back in August 2015 when the handles were made from cloth (as per the picture) and not nylon (or whatever it is). I’ve used the original one nearly every day since without a problem. The nylon handle one gets used occasionally, doesn’t have the same feel to it and the stitching at the foot entry point has started to fall apart.I guess, as with most things, originally a fantastic product which I would highly recommend has been turned into a cheaper ( to manufacture ) product of a far less quality.

Wertvolle Hilfe nach Hüftoperation
Da ich nach einer Hüftoperation meinen Oberkörper (z.Zt.) nur max. 90 Grad beugen darf ist das anziehen von Strümpfen allein unmöglich. Ich bin momentan noch in der Reha, und mit dieser Anziehhilfe bin ich nun in der Lage meine Socken allein anzuziehen ohne die Schwestern rufen zu müssen. Es funktioniert wunderbar auch mit meiner Schuhgröße 47 wen man es richtig macht.Man zieht den Strumpf über die etwas zusamengedrückte Anziehilfe, das geht recht einfach wenn man nicht grade zwei linke Hände hat. Man darf den Strumpf aber nur bis zum Ende der Anziehhilfe auffädeln, er sollte nicht am Ende hinter der Anziehhilfe hochklappen. Ist der Strumpf etwas zu lang, dann legt man den Rest vom Strumpf am Ende in Falter auf die Anziehhilfe. Macht man das nicht, so gibt es Schwierigkeiten den Fuß aus der Anziehilfe herauszubekommen. Man führt den Fuß dann langsam in den Strumpf ein bis die Zehen vorne sind und zieht dann an den Bändern mit leichten Fußbewegungen und zieht so die Anziehhilfe aus dem Socken. Alles langsam und mit Gefühl, dann geht's ganz easy. Am besten erst mal einige male am gesunden Fuß üben.Sollte diese Rezension für sie hilfreich sein, so würde ich mich über einen Druck auf den HILFREICH Button freuen.

ce n'est vraiment pas cher, ça ne paie pas de mine , et quand on l'utilise pour la 1er fois , on doute un peu et surprise ! le pied est dans la chaussette parfaitement placée !! j'en ai eu besoin apres la pause d'une prothese de hanche car pendant quelques semaines on ne peut atteindre le pied coté opéré , et c'est un objet qui est facile d'utilisation (sans probleme de handicap aux mains) et tres efficace ! j'ai enfin pu mettre mes mibas ou chaussette sans avoir à guetter le passage de quelqu'un pour me rendre ce petit service si important ... je le conseille
Funktioniert gut,
habe keinen Vergleich zu anderen Anziehhilfen, bin aber mit dieser Hilfe sehr zufrieden. Ist zwar etwas fummelig, die Socken über die Anziehhilfe zu ziehen, aber lange nicht so fummelig, wie sich ohne diesem Gerät mit Verwindungen und Verkrümmungen unter manchmal leichten Schmerzen (habe leichte Hüftarthrose) die Socken anzuziehen. Ist also eine echte Hilfe, geht relativ einfach und schnell (Übung macht ja auch den Meister) und ich kann diese kleine Vorrichtung durchaus empfehlen. Werde noch etwas üben, nun macht Socken anziehen wieder "Spaß" .......
