5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic durability
So easy to put up and I had it up in my fairly open garden through 3 uk medium weather warnings for rain/storms. It was very mild though. The handy bag it comes in is fantastic for travel
5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps standing while others collapse and blow away
I bought this on offer in the sales and have now used and tested it in some challenging conditions. We used it with 2 plain and 2 window/door side panels so it was enclosed. We experienced periods of persistent rain, heavy downpours, wind gusts up to 39 mph and even some sunny periods. I would say this is outside the normal use for a gazebo so I don't really consider the issues to reflect too negatively on this, more an idea of what you can expect if you too decide to go camping in crazy weather with itThe size (L)There were 3 of us using it as a sheltered living and cooking space for 3 days and found it plenty big enough with room to spare.Rain handlingDuring the downpours we would get drips coming down from the corners of the square ventilation section in the middle of the roof, it was only a minor annoyance to us but does mean you can't have a table or anything you need to keep dry in the very middle of the gazebo. That was the only place the gazebo itself let water in.Wind handlingIt stood up to the wind amazingly well. While other people were chasing parts of theirs across the field and tents were collapsing, we were snug and confident in this gazebo. I think the combination of the shape, the 4 peg holes per foot and 8 guy lines make this the strongest most stable gazebo I've ever seen. This was the reason I bought this gazebo and I'm glad I did.Sun handlingIt was very good as a shelter from the sun. Light but not too bright, cool and airy, thanks to the light colour and large ventilation panel I think. While the tent got hot and stuffy in the humid sunshine the gazebo remained comfortable even with the sides attached.AssemblyI set it up on my own and it was challenging. Unless you are tall and strong I would say this really is a 2 person job. On your own there is some potential risk of damaging the poles if you're unlucky or not careful.Side noteAbout the side panels, I would not recommend the plain ones. The windowed door panels have curtains, are built better with peg points along the bottom, and cost almost the same. The plain ones lack the peg points and billow and flap alarmingly and annoyingly in the wind.SummaryIf you want a gazebo that is cool and comfortable in the hot sun, can easily handle strong wind, and reasonably good in heavy rain, this is the perfect gazebo for you. I have no regrets and would definitely buy again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - third one I've bought!
Very well designed for easy assembly (2 person job). Provides great cover from the sun and uv radiation. Would recommend without hesitation.Downside is the cover lasts three to four years of abuse, whereas the frame probably goes on for ever! Did check with manufacturer if cover could be replaced separately, to no avail. Great pity on environmental grounds that the lot ends up in recycling.
4.0 out of 5 stars Bought for school, great
Bought these for our school for sports days, they are really good and sturdy. Easy to put up, really pleased with them.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best service ever
One of my poles was broken after one use. I contacted Bolo and had instructions that it would be picked up the next day, but also a replacement would be received the next day also. You can not get better than that. The gazebo itself is so easy to put up if possible I would recommend 4 people (makes life easier) but you could do it with two.Would definitely recommend. Just waiting to buy windows.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well made, Easy to setup, Stylish
Myself and a large group of friends decided buy this for Glastonbury Festival and we all agreed it's the best purchase we've ever made!Where to start, firstly the shelter is really well made. The material is made up of a thick water resistant type canvas which seems as though it'd take a beating. At the end of the festival we took a pack of wet wipes and went over a few spots which had become grubby and the mud lifted off without any effort at all.The pole design knocked us off kilter a bit at first because we didn't realise how simple the mechanism/design actually was. It's very similar to the design of a tent but on a larger scale, with elasticated lengths of 'string' inside a bar with female/male fixings on the end. There are 4 large semi circle spans which connect at the feet and then 4 bars which connect to a central hub in the middle. The bars are fixed with wire click fittings and once they're in place they're very sturdy! It's difficult to see how the design works until you begin to put it up, but it really isn't difficult once you figure it out.I'd recommend at least 2 people to put it up, I do think it could be done solo but there would be real difficulties for some stages without an extra pair of hands. We've bought Gazebo's before, you know the drill, pay £60 for a cheap Gazebo, everything goes well for the first day until it rains and a gale above 3 mph decides to swoop upon your camp. On one of the days at the festival it really kicked up a storm and we were worried that the shelter wouldn't hold out. 6 Hours of rain/wind later there were 15 happy customers. As long as you guy rope the shelter out and peg the feet down I can't see there being any issues it collapsing.Weight - The only thing that I would be weary of is the weight of the shelter. If you were on a camp site and the distance from the car/camp wasn't too far then it wouldn't be too much of a problem. However if you're at a Festival like we were, then I'd suggest having a dedicated trolley for the walk from the coach/campsite. We were lucky in that someone had a trolley with room on it but I could see it being a real nightmare if you tried to carry it between a few of you.Would recommend this to anyone. If you're looking for a long term solution for a Festival shelter then look no further!
Auvent jardin
