Bought this for going away in the caravan, we put lights around the awning but found the wire trailing across the ground a nuisance but this solved the issue, easy to use and firm enough to lay flat and not move.. Excellent.

I needed a dehumidifier to sit a way from a socket on a brown wood floor. I purchased this item in the hope the cable would be protected and little ones wouldn’t fall over it during the day.It is so good I have left it out all the time as it does not curl and could be cut to size. Much better quality than I expected and does the job better than I thought too!

Bought this to cover a large outdoor extension lead between garage and outbuilding. I only recently put the extension lead in to provide semi-permanent electric to my workshop. The cable is cleated to walls for most of it's journey but there is about a metre of cable which runs on the ground where it goes from the garage wall, to the garden wall. As I drive the lawnmower over this sometimes I was very concerned that it needed covering, not to mention it just being a trip hazard.It arrived rolled up lengthways and when unrolled it stayed flat quite nicely which was good. It was tough but easy enough to cut to length with a stanley knife, and then I was easily able to push the cable into the recess underneath (which is easily big enough to take 3-4 standard appliance flexes).I've been walking, driving etc over the cable protector for weeks now and its working brilliantly. Really please and a decent price too! Will definitely buy some more if/ when I need it.

The product arrives tightly curled up. Even after several days laid out with heavy weights on the ends, the ends did not lie flat on the floor. I only needed part of the protector so was able to use the bit in the middle.

Big, heavy, soft and floppy (imagine you're a cable and you're being sat upon by a giant rabbit...). Wider than I expected! It's two and a half inches wide. I wanted to cut mine to door-width, and altered my mind a couple of times as to where that would be, and then I found I couldn't get the ballpen marks off (even though I tried rubbing with alcohol). It cut very nicely with the kitchen scissors though.One thing I do note: it doesn't protect the cable from pressure very much. It's soft and just covers the cable. Protects from abrasion.I think it works best with two cables (I have two 7mm diameter cables in mine, they just fit, and it sits well - I don't have to tape it closed at the back). If you have soft cable and plan to step on it a lot then I think a hard rubber cable protector would be better. I'm sorry they don't do white - I'd have chosen that, even though it would get dirty (white cables, white paintwork, white UPVC door). I've only just fitted it, so time will tell.
