Quality is excellent, the head does get hot especially for a kid but he loved it (bought an extra lion face mask just to give him a break). Comes in a handy zip up bag for storage too. Really impressed with this, other reviews did worry me a little before it arrived. Apologies for the dog hanging out of the mouth in the photo.. my son thought it was more realistic that way 🙄

I ordered age 12 to 14 as my child is 11 and average height. When my child opened it on Christmas morning, they absolutely loved it. However, when they put it on, it was too short in both the leg and the crotch. I contacted the seller to advise that the sizing guide was incorrect as it was too small. I received a reply and advised that I had ordered the correct, if it was too small then I could return it and order a larger size. The age 14 years plus is an extra £17. I'd already paid £36.99 for the age 12 to 14. The seller had totally missed the point that the sizing guide was incorrect. I had no issue with the quality of the item, just the size. I've replied to the seller, so I'll wait to see what happens.

The first thing to say is that when my son put this on, I thought it looked absolutely fabulous (see pic). He was super excited by it and even more so after he'd put it on and looked at himself in the mirror.The head is really well thought out with a velcro strip at the back so kids can get it on/off relatively easy and the black parts of the eyes are actually mesh, so whilst these "eyeholes" aren't obvious from the outside, kids can see out of them really well. They're also well-positioned, so that when the head is on, the eyeholes are in the right place for kids to see out.The body part of the suit looks great - colours are good, material feels nice.The sizing is good aswell - my son is 5 and the 4-6 fits him with a little bit of room to growThe downsides....After a couple of hours, my son realised that there was something wrong with the right paw - it has been sewn on upside down (see pic). Major facepalm. Even more frustrating, given that I can see this fault has been raised in 2 other reviews; it would be reasonable to expect that this would have been sorted by now.The item was sold with free return so I ordered a second one hoping that this one would come with 2 correct hands.Unfortunately, whilst the hands had been sewn correctly onto the second suit, the head on this one has been really badly made, with the result that it looks like it has been in some horrible "crushing accident": The eye on the left is half the size of the one on the right. The nose is squashed upwards on the LH side (in practical terms it is almost impossible for a kid to see out of it the left eye with the head like this). The mouth is about an inch and a half higher on the left-hand side than it is on the right. The mane on the second suit is very poor compared to the first - it looks like it has been sewn on differently, and there is just a lot less fur visible. All these things combined just mean it looks a complete mess and nothing like the first one I ordered or the ones shown online (see pic) or those posted by other customers. If you were looking for "zombie monster lion", this head would be a good starting point for your outfit.Also the second one seems to have the bodysuit made out of a different material to the first. The first one was a rich golden sort of colour (kind of ... y'know... liony colour). The second one is more of a velvety material and is kind of a fawn colour. If you were making a deer fancy dress it would be great... for a lion... not so great. I've attached a pic of this to illustrate the difference as best as possible under what wasn't great light. In decent light there's quite a difference between the two.So there you go.... A potentially really great kids' fancy-dress outfit, but in my experience, you may struggle to get something decent as it seems like the factory making these has multiple quality control issues. I've ordered two, the first one had a flaw. The second one was a complete "reject" and I've returned it. I've kept the first one and will unstitch the paw from the outfit and sew it back on correctly myself... which is irritating, because this is exactly the kind of waste of personal time I'd aimed to avoid by spending the extra cash on what I hoped was a non-"budget" item (£33.99 when I bought so there are clearly a lot of cheaper options than this).

Yet another product with an extremely miss-leading photo
Perfect for intended use.
Lion head is perfect, quality and comfortable. Paws were sewed upside down and cheap. We cut them off and bought quality paws. Solved problem.

I bought this for my son and he loved it. The mask looks so real and its easy to breathe while in it. The size I bought was perfect for my son. He's 7 years old only but he is heavier and bigger so the medium was great for him, but I cannot recommend the sizes since everyone is different.
