5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!

Before buying the PS Vita I read a lot of the reviews here on Bolo and I was almost put off by some of the descriptions of how long it took to download the game that came with the console. In my case it was Call of Duty:Declassified. I needn't have worried because it only took 40 minutes from start to finish. In fact the download times from the PS Network are really good. A bigger selection of games designed for the Vita would be good but it's early days and there are loads of PSP games to choose from. The graphics are great and the screen size is more than I expected. Delivery from Bolo was spot on. All in all, I'm delighted with my purchase. I would definitely recommend it.

Bought this and it was completely dead. Trying to do the software update I received errors and sent it back. Bought a Nintendo Switch instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars PS VITA

All you need to know about this console is it's well worth the money and you wont be disapointed, as a fan of the call of duty games it has call of duty blackops 2 decassified included which you download from the psn network.I also purchased a 32 gb memory card for this as it is a must for this handheld console and as a playstation plus member there are ps vita games which you can download to the memeory card that's why I would recommend the 32 gb as this is currently the biggest card available..The 4 gb which comes with it is completely pointless as you wouldn't be able to download anything to it.Also consider purchasing a case and front screen protector and back protector.

4.0 out of 5 stars it's great!

I purchased this item as a christmas gift for myself. Since I was young, I've owned all Playstation consoles. From Playstation to Playstation 3, so I thought I'd give this handheld console a try. I love it! At the moment, I'm playing more on this than I am on my Ps3. There's mainly pros when it comes to the PS Vita, but as with all products, there's one or two cons as well.Pros- The console itself is relatively cheap and looks great.- The graphics are MUCH better than I thought they'd be.- The touchscreen works like a charm, it doesn't freeze or lag.- The battery life isn't bad considering I'm playing on it none stop for hours on end. It also doesn't take too long to charge.- There's so much more to it than just playing games.- It's simple and straightforward to use.- It's fun and great for just before bedtime!Cons- Okay so memory cards are ridiculously expensive. I think Sony have their own reasons for this such as security etc.- The 4gb memory card that comes with this is really rubbish. I wanted to download another game onto it as well as CoD and there was hardly any space left. I purchased an 8gb memory card instead.- The games are also expensive. Well the ones I want are! It's usually cheaper to buy them online or in a shop instead of on the PS store.- The console can be a bit awkward to use at first. Like it took me a while to realise that the back of it was a touch pad! In certain games such as CoD and Assassins Creed 3: Liberation, you're made to use the touch pad during gameplay and it can be hard to understand what it's trying to get you to do.And yes, you do need to do regular updates etc. But as long as you're confident that your internet connection is good enough, you should be fine! My updates only take a couple minutes or so. If yours takes hours or days, then it's down to your connection and it isn't the consoles or Sony's fault.

3.0 out of 5 stars COD Vita Bundle

I purchased the PS Vita with COD Black Ops Declassified when the package arrived I was really happy. The Vita itself is well made and is a lot lighter then I expected.I was looking forward to getting to play some COD.I redeemed the code for the game and it begun downloading however after 4 hours it was at 15%.I cancelled the download and I had a look at my home network and everything was fine I have an Xbox so I downloaded a demo to make sure the connection was fine. The Xbox demo downloaded very quickly. I tried to download black ops again but its been downloading for five hours now and its not even half way. I have a bit of a concern about the wireless capabilities of the device. I think they should have included an Ethernet port on the device or at least give a physical copy of the game.I am still looking forward to playing this game I hope it downloads soon.I have 50MB fibre optic broadband I thought the game would download in about three of four hours.I saw some reviews on the Fifa 13 bundle with the vita and people where having issues downloading Fifa I thought it was there home network set up.However I now know that there is something else causing the games to download really slow.I was going to get PS plus but I don't think I will bother if all games take this long to download.I still think this bundle was good value and when the game downloads I will be happy.I can't give much feedback on the device at this point but apart from the download issue I think the device is really solid.
