    My dog devoured this food without the need to add wet food. You can tell just by looking at the kibble it is a better quality. It has a good amount of moisture and the bag itself has a Velcro like seal to maintain freshness. As a bonus, it doesn't have a potent smell to it.

    My Vizsla went through a small bag of this really quickly so I opted for the larger bags as better value. My only slight concern was that the kibble was on the small side, not so much of an issue as I mix it with the wet food cartons anyway, but I understand that it's being replaced with a larger size soon.

    I have this on subscribe and save and apparantly this prevents me from refunding or returning so I will be cancelling this. The corner of the bag appeared to be cut off and the kibble spilling into the cardboard delivery box. I have no idea if this food has gone rancid as I dont know for how long the bag has been damaged. An absolute con.

    I have tried numerous dog foods with my two dogs and this is the only brand which they both devour. Both dogs have shiny coats and appear to be more lively after using this brand.

    My little Pomeranian loves this food. We used to get the chicken flavour and he always had a little left over however this gets eaten up and nothing left behind I love that the kibble is small as perfect for his small gob!

    My Labrador cannot get enough of this. We used to have to add in bits of actual meat to encourage her to start eating the James Wellbeloved that she was on, but now she’s got this we’ve found there’s no need for any encouragement!We’ve also been using it as a treat whilst training her she enjoying it that much.

    I'm ashamed to admit that after having my dog for a year now, I was blindly following my vet's advice and my dog was eating a well-known brand which is expensive, but as it turns out, extremely lacking in nutritional value.As my doodle has always had a sensitive stomach and started going off the aforementioned food, I spent days researching the best alternatives. After much deliberation, I settled on the new "Primal" from Pooch and Mutt.Anyone who is serious about dog nutrition is aware of allaboutdogfood - an impartial website which reviews dog food based on its nutritional value, highlighting its good and bad ingredients, and providing it with an overall percentage score. Primal is the highest trending food on the site (at the time of purchase) and achieved a staggering 90% overall score. For comparison, the "vet-recommended" brand I used previously sits at around 40%.The stand-out features of this food are the high protein content (80%), its inclusion of game meats, and its grain-free. There are still carbs in this food, but all dry foods have carbs and I find that a 100% protein diet makes my dog lose weight rapidly.The 10kg sack arrived in great condition, and it was obvious from the smell, texture and colour of the kibble that it is of a much higher quality than the previous brand. The kibble is moist and smells natural, as opposed to the other which was always bone dry and dusty.The bag itself includes a carry handle on the side which was a nice addition, and I was pleasantly surprised at the reseal - which was a strip rather than one of the thin plastic ones you get on most bags, which are always difficult to align and often leave gaps, allowing the contents to spoil. The resealable strip is wide, and it's quick and easy to seal the bag back up properly after each use.Now for the important bit! How has it been received? My dog LOVES it. It was such a relief to see him enthusiastic about food again, he goes crazy when I'm preparing his meal and I'm considering a slow feeder because he eats it so quickly.It's only been a week, but we've noticed an immediate difference in his energy levels and the consistency of his poop, which was always very hit-and-miss. We've even thought his mood seems more stable, and relaxed, although this could be circumstantial.It's early days - but this food is a night and day difference from the previous brand we were using, and while it's not cheap, it's cheaper than the previous brand was! I'll definitely be continuing with this food and recommending it to other dog owners. If anything changes - I will update my review.
