This item came in it's box as packed in Indonesia. BUT as such. It came with cable inners and outers. gor both brake and gear shifters, and the end crimps for both! 7 speeds may be exceptional, passe' even, with the plethora of 10, 11, and 12 cassette and double-clangers, got the front. But for most urban situations, and many rural ones' a 7 or 8, 9 is adequate, I think. This set, in my view, is excellent in terms of the engineering and price. IT may carry a 33 year old, rigid Spesh, for another 33 years. 5 Star vend and send!

This Shimano set comes with cables and ends, so everything you need to do a full replacement of your gear levers. Relatively easy to fit, they seem very 'fit for purpose' and are therefore good value for money.

The media could not be loaded. La confezione comprende i comandi per il cambio anteriore con 3 posizioni e per il posteriore 7 posizioni, integrati con le leve dei freni a due dita. I due comandi arrivano con i cavi del cambio già montati, mentre i cavi dei freni sono compresi nel kit ma vanno montati nell’apposito alloggiamento, un’operazione molto semplice e intuitiva. Oltre ai cavi e ai relativi capicorda la dotazione comprende anche le guaine cambio e freni di lunghezze abbondanti da tagliare a seconda della necessità.Queste le lunghezze dei cavi:- freno anteriore cm 90;- freno posteriore cm 159,5;- cambio anteriore cm 173,5;- cambio posteriore cm 198,5.Le lunghezze delle guaine del cambio:- 2 guaine cm 60;- 1 guaina cm 30.Al momento dell’acquisto era attiva un’offerta a euro 28,40, buono il rapporto qualità prezzo considerando anche la dotazione completa.Sia le leve dei freni che le varie manopole dono realizzate in plastica apparentemente solida, pur trattandosi di un prodotto economico il funzionamento dei meccanismi risulta preciso, nulla posso dire sulla durata.Il montaggio è stato abbastanza semplice, non avendo mai messo le mani su un cambio e tanto meno averlo mai regolato mi ritengo soddisfatto; di base bisogna comunque avere una buona manualità e un minimo di attrezzatura. Per avere indicazioni su come procedere (e anche per le regolazioni successive) YouTube offre molti tutorial utili.Può essere conveniente se non si è pratici scattare qualche foto per memorizzare la posizione dei singoli pezzi prima di smontare i vecchi comandi.Montaggio del comando cambio posteriore:ho portato la catena sul pignone piccolo, regolato il comando sulla posizione 7, quindi ho collegato il cavo al deragliatore.Montaggio del cambio anteriore:con la catena sulla corona piccola ho regolato il comando sulla posizione 1, infine ho collegato il cavo al deragliatore.Considerare che dopo la sostituzione dei comandi e dei relativi cavi, quasi certamente sarà necessario regolare il cambio posteriore in modo che la catena guidata dal deragliatore passi in modo fluido da un pignone all’altro, stesso discorso vale per il cambio anteriore.Ho installato i due comandi sul manubrio diametro 22 di una vecchia mountain bike anni 90 con cambio Shimano 200 GS 3X7.Per togliere le manopole senza tagliarle può essere utilizzata una pistola ad aria collegata a un compressore (facile trovare istruzioni in rete).Essendone sprovvisto ho impiegato dell’alcol e una normale siringa da 5 ml procedendo in questo modo: ho inserito l’ago profondamente nello spazio tra la gomma e il manubrio, dal lato della manopola rivolto verso il centro del manubrio stesso, quindi ho iniettato abbondantemente l’alcol che prima di evaporare ha un effetto lubrificante. Le manopole sono venute via abbastanza facilmente. Per reinserirle ho di nuovo bagnato l’interno delle manopole e la superficie del manubrio.Prima di utilizzare la bicicletta attendere qualche ora che l’alcol sia evaporato per evitare che le manopole possano sfilarsi accidentalmente costituendo un potenziale pericolo.A montaggio terminato, fatte tutte le regolazioni la bicicletta ha ripreso vita, per ora tutto funziona regolarmente, prodotto adeguato alla fascia di prezzo da consigliare senza riserve.
