This is the best NiMH Smart Battery charger on the market and is excellent value for money.It has four functions Charge, Discharge, Test and Refresh.The LCD display shows the battery voltage, charging current and charging time for each of the four charging slots.The charge current can be set to 200, 500 or 700mA which is ideal for 2000/2500mAh AA NIMH and 700/800MAh NIMH batteries.Included is the charger and a power supply unit that has a std 13A three pin plug for UK use.I've been using this design of charger for 4 years and have managed to keep something like 50 AA and 20 AAA batteries in regular use withoutany failures. In fact this is my second charger of this type to increase my charging capacity.

Very good charger and one of the few that seems to be sold in the UK Bolo store that will charge batteries individually (at least without charging you an arm and a leg *pun intended* :)I tested twelve new 1900mAh AA batteries from Fujitsu with it (which included a full discharge and recharge cycle) and the same number again of the Bolo Basics 800mAh AAA's and it did a stirling job with them despite being required to work almost non-stop through six sets of batteries.I have not tried mixed sets of recharges though and it's early days but so far I am very happy with this charger - particularly the individual charging (the batteries tested all had different actual capacities and charge times) and the ability to slow charge for maximum rechargeable battery lifetime.

This is a compact and solidly built charger (RS700 LA Crosse £20). It has 3 charging speeds and built-in overheat detection. However I get the strong impression that the slower the charging the better i.e the faster the charge, the faster the batteries are going to start playing up not holding charge etc. What interests me is the refresh and test functions. Basically you set a battery (each compartment is individually controllable) to refresh and leave it for a few days. At very low current it discharges and charges and attempts to reset the battery to its optimum capacity. I shall update my comment to reflect how successful this was. The display is very clear and shows all the information you would want. All-in-all very pleased so far.

Very pleased with this charger (caveat: just used it twice so far). Good electrical contacts to cells. Each slot fully charges its cell then switches to a trickle charge, and gives you good feedback on the condition of the cell and the state of charging using its lcd display if you're interested. Can test/refresh cells too and tell you how much charge they can hold. Much better than chargers that require you to charge cells in pairs. No longer a problem when equipment uses one or 3 cells and deals with the situation when one battery of a pair goes bad. Should make cells last for longer and make rechargeables even more of a pleasure to use. Recommend for anyone who cares about their rechargeable AA/AAA NiMH (and NiCAD) batteries and wants to make them last longer.

Not particular smart: you need to set the charge level every time you plug it in and even then it takes an age with no reliable indication of progress. Then on 700mAh setting it started to smell and both the transformer and batteries were clearly getting very hot, at which point I unplugged it and went to the store to buy a better charger.

Despues de probar varios cargadores de pilas recargables, desde los mas baratos a los mas caros, etsba buscando un cargador que me sirviese para caragr 4 pilas a la vez o menos si lo necesito, con distintos tipos de caragas (lenta, rapida) y este lo cumple y buscaba un cargador que me sirviese para revivir las pilas que llevan timepo en casa o sin usarse y que me diesen valores de carga buenos una vez caragdos, y eeste cargador tiene dos sitemas muy uitles: el test (donde te hace una analisis de como esta la pila, en un proceso de craga y desacarga) despues ves el resultado en el panel lcd. Y el otro sistema es el refresh (donde en un proceso de carga y descarga continuos, al final pone full en la pantalla led y la ila revive casi al completo) comprobado en un amperimetro de pilas. Todo esto es lo positivo.Ahora la pega que le pongo que estos 2 procesos tardan horas e incluso dias con las pilas caragdose y descargandose, es un proceso largo, pero merece la pena... creo que si.Todo decir que el cargador no se calienta para nada y las pilas tampoco.En definitiva creo que hice una buena compra y dejare los otros cargadores para ptras cosas.

Je remplace petit à petit les différentes piles de chez moi par du rechargeable et ce chargeur est donc devenu l'outil indispensable.Incapable de comparer avec d'autres produits mais plusieurs articles sur internet le décrivent comme un bon chargeur (ne dégradant pas les piles au fil des chargements) avec un bon rapport qualité/prix.Ca reste un petit investissement au départ mais rapidement rentabillisé selon moiFinancièrement des piles rechargeables sont très rapidement rentabilisées

Le prix est beaucoup trop important par rapport à la technologie ,c'est un chargeur avec différentes valeurs. Ca reste un produit assez bien conçu mais pas très abordable question prix ,dommage.
