5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Shin Guards
Bought these shin guards based on reviews. I usually use Top Kings shin guards but they can be a little bulky which hinders movement a touch, especially when points sparring. The Valour Strike shin guards in comparison are super light and they are very comfortable straight out of the packet. If Top Kings give 10/10 for protection I would say the Valour Strikes give 7/10 which is ample for all but the hardest of sparring, I think these will be good for shin conditioning as well. I am 5ft 10” and 80kg, I opted for the large as I’m right on the cusp between the medium and large according to the Valour size guid on their website. The shin guards fit perfectly finishing just below my knee, they do not restrict movement or dig in at all. In terms of instep (foot) protection the guards end with just the tips of my toes and my big toe exposed (I am a UK size 10 in shoe size), This is ideal for all gyms except those that insist on full foot coverage including the toes.Customer service from Rachel from Valour was excellent, concise and prompt. If you do order the wrong size I believe they have a 28 day return or replace policy. For the price these shin guards are excellent. My only minor niggle is that the lower velcro strap could benefit from being 25% shorter, but that really is nitpicking and doesn’t affect the function of the shin guards. There is a reason why these are top sellers on Bolo. I’ve tried Top Kings and Venum (Ringhorns) and the Valour shin guards are by far my favourites and by far the most comfortable.
5.0 out of 5 stars Happy to wear Valour!
I have now got a lot of Valour strike kit, everything from the gloves, shorts pads, head guard and wraps.the clothing:-fits right, tight where you need it to be but never restricting, this meant that i can still kick high in the shorts or stretch out in the tops.the gloves :-i have the two pairs, the 10oz and 14oz. (14oz for sparing, 10oz for competitions). 14oz are my preference because they have been well and truly used, comfortable and easily fit to my hands with the wraps. the 10oz, are still slightly unusual due to me being used to the 14oz, however... i wore the 10s in my first ever fight, and won by knock out after breaking someones nose... so they deserve at least a 7 out of 10 for being my lucky gloves!!the shinnies:-Are used mainly for sparing, very good, comfortable, and stop me from breaking my shins, much better than the two separate shin and foot pad that i have to use for competitions, i prefer the 1 piece shin pads but due to competing more and more i will have to buy some which are regulation for the competitions.head guard:-good, used a few times, not regulation for all competitions but due to the fact that i dont get the usual melting head and sweat dripping into my eyes when wearing it its good, light enough not to feel like a bobblehead and well designed enough to stop the blocking of peripheral vision which is associated with most head-guards.Love my Valour Strike gear, will gladly be buying more when i finally manage to wear some of it out ( i have been trying but not got anywhere near yet)
4.0 out of 5 stars Turned up slightly damaged (BUT great customer service)
There's two really annoying things about this purchase.1) Fraying on the heel/rear foot strap (pictures included). Probably meaning that in a month or so (maybe less) the strap will pop off mid use. For Shin guards marked at £31.95, I don't expect to receive them slightly damaged.2) Somehow the 'Valour Strike' printing on the shin guards innards has rubbed off onto the front of the guards and straps, therby creating a black smudge like effect that makes them look old/used. I can tell they're not used because they smell, look and feel brand new, and when you look up-close you can see the letters. I have tried numerous times to rub it off, but to no avail. The real question is this: was it worth the money? Overall these shinguards function quite well, but I'm a pro-consumer nut through and through. So, receiving a less than perfect product usually means I'm going to answer that question with a "NO". However, there is a caveat. Should this be repriced at £25-£27 then YES. it's worth it. The shin guards are somewhat hard, personally i like that, but my usual sparring partner probably won't lol. I like that the gap between the shin and foot is closed off... I can't tell you how many times I've been elbowed there. Good guards... But should be priced a bit lower imho.EDIT: After contacting the retailer they were very apologetic and offered me a generous 50% discount due to the damage. Overall, even though the product was slightly damaged (which they assured me was a one off mistake), the customer service was brilliant, fast and professional. I used the shin guards today during a quick sparring session and they were great. I still think the asking price is a bit dear, but they did the job, and as I assumed, my sparring partner felt the shots... quite a lot... Lol I was fine though. I'm going to update my score to a 4 (from a 3) due to the great service. When companies care about the customer experience it's a win in my books.

⚠ défaut !
Ergonomique et esthétique ces protèges tibia protègent bien sans pour autant gêner mouvements mais gros bémol, ils présentent un défaut au niveau d'une couture et l'un d'entre eux est déchiré après seulement quatre utilisations.
