It’s a lovely size and very safe to use. Sometimes when cooking with water then it leaks and splashes liquid from the top. Weight is ok and looks good, pretty safe to use as well but Hawkins needs to sort out this issue. Not seller’s fault at all.

Honestly so glad I bought this.After reading a few negative reviews I decided to take the plunge and just buy this pressure cooker.Very glad I did.I agree the lid takes some getting used to but the cooker itself is perfect.I got the 2 litre which was just right for me and my husband.My dhal cooked very quickly and my lamb curry was succulent and took half the time to cook compared to a regular saucepan.Im looking to purchase a larger Hawkins cooker soon.Its also very easy to clean.

The media could not be loaded. Ordered the 2L as I live alone and it’s perfect size for me. Already tried to make chana dal inside and turned out perfect! Would recommend to anyone, you will get used to the lid very quickly.

Brought this pressure cooker mainly to cook legumes. Had seen another one in store but as this was smaller decided to purchase this one as wasn't sure how much I would actually use it. I brought the 2L pressure cooker. Its ok, the lid is a real hassle to attach. Still don't think that I am attaching it correctly but have managed to use the cooker. It really is for 2 - 3 people. I must have missed that in the description. Basically it does what I brought it for but I don't love it. For me the big issue is trying to get the lid to attach correctly as the cooker itself has a lip and you have to push the lid slightly inside, turn it & then bring it up to attach securely to the cooker pot itself. So the lid sits securely under the pot lip. I find it a hassle. Reviewers don't seem to think its a problem. Will use it the pressure cooker but if / when I replace I would buy a different make.

Have three Hawkins pressure cookers, 1.5L, 8L, 22L love them, you just have to get used to the fitting of the lid, different from the usual setup but worth the perseverence. Love em.

Great for small amounts of food. You may get a bit of a surprise first time you use it when the pressure valve blows off. This is natural and lets you know when to lower the temperature. The new style of valve doesn't rock like the old style. After a couple uses you will love it. Hawkins products are excellent quality.
