5.0 out of 5 stars Great value and versatile
Great food processor with a lot of functionality so good value for money. Pricier than competitors but magimix’s blades, motor and overall build quality is a step above the rest. We’re a couple and it’s more than big enough, it handles larger quantity food prep and it is very easy to work in batches. The blendermix attachment is my favourite. I love making mango lassi with this - the blades and motor make easy work of ice
5.0 out of 5 stars Hi quality and performance
This is a very good food processor that does very well what it's supposed to do. Very high quality and robust construction. Also very silent. The main limitation is size. Sometimes I have to use it two or three times in the same preparation and in the end mixing everything up. But It is relatively small and does not take up as much space as the next model. Easy to clean.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best brand available
Ideal for the small household.quiet, powerful motor for it's size.
1.0 out of 5 stars So disappointing! This is to food processing what EZ-bake oven is to baking
I gave this “Magimix - Le Mini Plus” 5 months of continuous use before feeling compelled to write this review. I SO wanted to like it and thought the “mini” part would be perfect for my small lockdown household. The brand overpromised and under-delivered. The reviews seem not to reflect the reality of using this machine for everyday kitchen prep. I think the French company behind Magimix are having their cold revenge on us for Brexit.I always have to finish the job by either hand slicing or bringing out the NutriBullet- with twice the cleanup! 😫Some examples:- It doesn’t have enough power to make breadcrumbs out of grissini or dry toast. I have to finish the job in a mortar and pestle!- If you attempt to slice or julienne carrots, potatoes, Brussels sprouts, or other veg, be prepared for a great lump of veg to convulse around the top of the slicing wheel like a tennis shoe in a tumble dryer until you stop and remove it.- The mini cup for processing small quantities is a complete joke. Everything splatters out or oozes into the lower bowl, making for a ridiculous amount of cleanup for a small job. And cleanup is a pain on the Le Mini Plus due to its flimsy plastic and small crevices.- Chopping meat in the lower (big bowl) yields horribly irregular chunks interspersed with goo. Why Magimix?- I had a brilliant Dualit food processor before this and for the money, Magimix is taking the pix. Not impressed.Perhaps the more powerful Magimix models yield greater kitchen satisfaction, but I would only gift Le Mini Plus to someone I wanted to torment.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant product!
This is a blessing and I’m so glad I got it in the Black Friday sale. I’m using it every day and it’s perfect if you are on your own or as a couple. V quiet but so powerful I love it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good mixer - enough for 3 people
Used this mixer/chopper and the juice squeezer is really useful. The carrot cake mixer is lovely and makes the best carrot cakes I have made. Enough for 12 very generous muffins - so enough for us 3.AS it is small, some bits need to be chopped up a bit first. Onion for example, if the peices are too big you end up with lumps. Similarly if you overfill, then some bits are missed chopping. We have a large Magimix as well, but this has virtually replaced it, as we rarely need to make much bigger than this does.Egg whisk is great and slicing/grating discs also useful.
5.0 out of 5 stars Compact but powerful
Exactly what we wanted an every day food processor that has a small enough footprint to be on the worktop without taking up too much room. It seems to have all the tools that you would need and we especially like the option of the small collection bowl when preparing small amounts.
2.0 out of 5 stars ultra quiet?
Even in the sale this would normally be above budget and had more attachments than required but it was bought purely on account of its quiet mark accreditation and in this respect it has fallen short for me personally. The sound quality may be different but it has no less impact on the ears afterwards to my ears than some other processors and a premium is clearly charged for this. My query to magimix resulted in them blaming the acoustics in my kitchen and the fact that the processor was cited adjacent to a wall (ie where the socket and counter top is) thereby amplifying the sound. I also found the manufacture quality poor. The only two things I like about it are the bowl size which seems smaller than the advertised 1.7 litres and the fact that I'm not clock watching on the motor usage as with most other processors, however it needs more time as the blades go round relatively slowly and hummus emulsification is average.
this plug does not fit Australian powerpoints and there's no warranty
The item is advertised on Bolo.au as available to Australian customers, but the photos in the Bolo listing don't show the power plug. The item arrives from the UK but the powerpoint doesn't fit an Australian powerpoint, it needs an adaptor. The warranty in Australia is also void as it came from overseas, (the UK). None of this is made clear in the advertisement. Be careful when purchasing electrical products from overseas on Bolo.au you may save $40, but there are warranty and powerpoint issues. Bolo advised it will take a month to refund my purchase, saying it 'wasn't a problem' that I had to wait 30 days for my $347.00 refund.
