I was slightly nervous of buying it because of the price, but I have to say that I'm really impressed. I work in an office in central London where all the surrounding chain cafes turn out so-so espresso for between £1.50-2.00/shot, and was fed up of that. This really has solved that issue and pretty soon I'll break even on the investment of buying it vs the cost of buying coffees out all the time. It's a really, really small and nifty device, extremely quick and easy to use and clean, and crucially - makes very good espresso, easily as good if not better than the espresso sold in many cafes. Yes, it takes a few days to get used to, and without question it won't suit everyone; it is a (bit) messy and requires careful cleaning to get the best from it, and if you're looking for espresso right up there like that from a proper machine, sure you'll be disappointed - but this is basically a 20cm long bike pump that makes coffee, so give it a break! All I can say is that it works well for me and really is quick and easy to use, allows you to select your own coffee type of choice, and so to my mind is well worth it. I now use it at least daily, if not twice a day, during the working week, and envisage my taking it on holiday too: I could imagine anyone who regularly goes camping, etc. finding it especially useful.

Before purchasing this one, I made the mistake of being smug when I purchased a cheap version of a well known voucher site.Boy, lesson learnt.I have the lucky stance to be able to compare this to a similar product. The quality is unbelievable, the accessories are durable and don't feel in any way cheap.The thread screws on really nice, this might seem a low priority but after sampling the cheaper version I promise it is worth the extra money!It is easy to clean and comes with a brush to facilitate this.It is so nice being able to make a proper coffee when out and about in a few seconds.Verdict - worth every penny!

So, this was a Christmas present in 2018, and I used it a lot. Not every day, but certainly several times a week. In July 2019, it started to leak through the pump. I sent a video to Wacaco through their website in USA and I got back a quick reply. They apologised and gave a code for a free replacement through Bolo UK which arrived the next day. That process was very quick and considering I’m in the UK and they’re in the USA, I thought their customer service to be really good. I’ve since then lost a rubber head part down the sink, again they’ve come back to me quickly, telling me I do need them (🙄), invoicing me a few quid and arranging delivery. So customer service wise I’m very happy. The product itself is brilliant. I love it. Saves me pennies whilst at work, as I go out for decent coffee a lot less 😊it is very easy to clean, you just have to get efficient as it can get a little messy once you’ve pumped (residual coffee). But the coffee itself is amazing, don’t overfill the coffee grounds container, make sure you flatten the grounds and none lie on the edges. Espresso grounds are best I find. Do all that and the pumping action flows more freely. I’ve just bought the minipresso tank with 3 extra coffee things as I like my coffee long. So much better as I now don’t have to piss about refilling with water / coffee grounds. So all in all an excellent product. If you go walking with it, yes you’ll need to take a flask of boiling water in order to make a coffee, yes it’s not the lightest product, but if I was walking all day would I bother taking it? Yes I would, absolutely.

A great little contraption, I take it to the office with me and get my caffeine fix throughout the day. Handy, practical and VERY easy to use.3/9/24Update: it's still going strong and makes great espressos. Only bit of advice for potential buyers.....I wouldn't take this on a hike (like the promotional video). Once you've made one espresso you then need to clean it before putting away.I wouldn't recommend cleaning with washing up liquid after every use as this leaves a chemical taste in the next espresso. I rinse all components thoroughly with water and then leave to air dry. I wash with washing up liquid once a week.

But when I travel I can't readily have espresso at most diners or hotel breakfast bars; or it ends up costing an exorbitant amount. If you don't mind heating water in a kettle or a microwave oven this ensures the quality of your coffee. To me it's a simple device that gives me my fix despite the small effort to set it up. I recommend getting the bigger optional water tank with the extra cups so you can make two in a row, or one big coffee. I also recommend using very fine ground coffee for the fullest flavor.

Damn, for a device that does not run on electricity or batteries, this makes some really ASTONISHING espressso coffee! The instructions on the box itself was super easy to understand. Got some french roast coffee powder and hot water ready, and started pumping out espresso coffee within minutes of receiving the box through Bolo! Easy to tell that coffee is coming out as you feel extra pressure on the device and the pump. You will know its done when the pressure gets back to being 'too easy'. The flavor of the coffee is dictated by the coffee powder used and my french roast espresso turned out super tasty! Cleaning this device was a breeze as you run everything under water. And once done, the device is put back in its original shape and its a very tiny looking cylinder thats driven by manual power to brew coffee! HUGE highlight for traveling and for times when you need a quick coffee fix and you are not near a coffee maker or a coffee shop.
Practicidad y movilidad
Excelente calidad en los materiales aun siendo de plastico, se siente firme y robusta. Hace falta un poco de mayor capacidad ya que solo se puede preparar una carga de expresso por carga, pero eso se puede solucionar comprando el Batista Kit. No tengo queja alguna, que para ser una maquina de expresso tan pequeña, vale mucho la pena.

Hallo zusammen.Die tragbare Espressomaschine von WACACO ist mit Abstand das coolste, was ich mir im Bereich Kaffe/Espresso bisher zugelegt habe.Neben einer French-Press und einem Bialetti Moka Express ergänzt die kleine Espresso-To-Go Handpumpe mein kleines Sortiment.Die Verarbeitung ist wirklich sehr gut. Das ganze Gerät wirkt hochwertig und edel.Man kann das gesamte Zubehör in und an dem Gerät verstauen und mit einem kleinen Beutel umpacken. Mit dem beiliegendem Messlöffel lässt sich die perfekte Menge an Pulver abmessen. Anschließend setzt man den Sieb verkehrtherum auf den Messlöffel und dreht das ganze um. Der Inhalt fällt also in den Siebbehälter und kann dann mit der Unterseite des Messlöffels perfekt angedrückt werden. Nun setzt man den Sieb in die vorgesehene Fläche dafür ein und schraubt den Kopf auf das Gerät. Anschließend kommt kochendes Wasser in den Wasserbehälter (mit Mengenmakierung) und dieser wird ebenfalls fest zugedreht.(AUFGEPASST!! - hier habe ich bei der ersten Benutzung einen Fehler gemacht und den Behälter nicht bis zum Anschlag verschraubt! Dann ist mir beim umdrehen und pumpen das kochende Wasser über die Hand gelaufen. Unangenehm - aber mein Fehler.)Wenn man dann alles verschraubt hat wird das ganze Gerät ungedreht und die Pumpe durch leichtes drehen herausgedrückt. Nun einmal das ganze Gerät umdrehen und die kleine Öffnung über dem Deckel des Gerätes, welcher als Becher dient, halten und loslegen mit dem pumpen. Nach etwa 5-7 mal drücken kommt dann der Espresso heraus.Super schön cremig und schaumig. Intensiver Geschmack und meiner Meinung nach die perfekte Temperatur zum trinken. Ich hasse es wenn die Getränke gottlos heiß sind und man sich den Mund verbrennt. Es ist logisch das während dem Pumpvorgang und der kleinen Menge die bei jedem Pumpstoß herauskommt, der Espresso etwas abkühlt. Da einige Rezensionen der Meinung sind der Inhalt wäre ja kalt und nicht zu genießen.. das sehe ich nicht so. Perfekte Temperatur zum genießen.Ich nutze das Gerät jetzt schon knapp 6 Monate und alles funktioniert wie am ersten Tag. Ich bin vollends zufrieden und würde mir das Gerät immer wieder kaufen. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung und der Preis ist ebenfalls unschlagbar. Man kriegt hier für wenig Geld eine sehr gute und langlebige Verarbeitung und einen super leckeren Espresso!Danke WACACO für das tolle Gerät und auch an Bolo für die schnelle Lieferung.Liebe Grüße, ein zufriedener Kunde
