I was running out of my previous wax (different brand), so I ordered this in readiness. My last wax only ran out last week and so I've only just opened and used this product for the first time this week; and..... Wow!! Suffice to say, I won't be returning to my prior brand. This stuff is nuclear grade wax. Ideal for finer hair. Not sure you'd get it through thicker beards / moustaches as it's so dense!First thing to know is that you have to heat the wax with a hair dryer to melt it so you can even get any out of the tin... so, not ideal for taking out with you for a top up. However, I doubt you'll need a top up: I first applied it on a Tuesday morning: my moustache and beard set in place and, I kid you not, didn't move until the Thursday! It hadn't even moved after a night's sleep for those two days.Be warned though: the wax comes out of the tin (once heated) with a texture similar to pine resin rather than a traditional wax. This makes it stiff to even get a comb through after initial application and a nightmare to get the residue off your fingers and comb afterwards. (On first time using it I ended up with residue stuck to the sink taps and soap dispenser as I desperately tried to get it off my hands!). The plus side is, once you've applied the wax it works amazingly well. The best wax I've tried. The only minus point is, the wax isn't scented so has a straight wax odour.
5.0 out of 5 stars Tried many others - this is the best!
I’ve been using Death Grip, Sudden Death moustache waxes for some time, and more recently Bone Crusher. For me and my unruly whiskers, they really are the best! A little goes a long way, and though Death Grip in particular needs working and a bit of getting used to, they are the stickiest, firmest waxes and give day long hold. No noticeable perfume either which I really like, so no lingering odours under your nose nor odd tastes added to your coffee. A couple of tips - you really do need to warm the wax before and during application - keep working it to get the desired effect (their comb is really handy for this), and then blast with the cool setting. Death Grip gives absolute hold and is great for achieving that villanous handlebar - Sudden Death and Bone Crusher are great for retaining maybe a more relaxed shape. Also, particularly when using Death Grip, it’s worth investing in the Night Fury remover to strip build up ‘cause soap won’t shift it! - like I said, you get day long hold - and it doesn’t wear off. Great products, excellent value for money, and a great business ethic.
4.0 out of 5 stars Not for the faint of heart
This is a long lasting wax with an incredibly firm hold so if you're disappointed with how long your current wax lasts (as I was) this could be the one for you. However this could be a little too long lasting, when I first used the wax I had to shampoo it three times to get it out, it's sticky to the point where it no longer feels like wax once it's in and isn't easily removed. Another downside is that it's pretty much mandatory to use a hair dryer to soften it otherwise it's unworkable, not the worst but it definitely prolongs the length of time it takes to apply it. Lastly due to it's sticky nature if you find yourself touching your moustache once it's applied you can look forward to leaving a residue on everything you touch afterwards. This wax delivers everything it promises but that does come with downsides, I would recommend you purchase the wax remover also offered by Death Grip as it's designed to easily remove it negating one of the downsides.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best moustache wax I’ve used
If you want an easy to apply, long lasting, and strong wax this is the one to get. I typically do my moustache the night before (as I’m up early for work and can never be bothered to do it that early haha) and it survives through bedtime and the whole day after. I ride a motorbike with an open face helmet and the journey is a breeze for this wax. Last weekend I did my moustache on Saturday morning, it survived the whole day and the night, and went to a water park on Sunday which it also survived without needing to top it up any.Lasts a good while too so definitely worth the money, will be buying more when this one eventually runs out!
5.0 out of 5 stars Sudden Death is a great strong wax that does not require heating
I have a reasonably strong Nicolas II stylee handlebar moustache and have been looking for a good strong but usable wax for a number of years. I have been using the Beard and the Wonderful and Captain Fawcetts, and found those to be easy and pleasant to use, but with those my moustache needs to be put back in place regularly throughout the day.I found this brand and started out with Death Grip and Bone Crusher, assuming that a stronger wax would be better. Both waxes gave a good result, but were a hassle to use - using the tool provided to scrape out wax and then heat it with a hair dryer to soften, and apply with more hair dryer before cooling, made my moustache look great but was too much like hard work. It also left a layer of sticky wax on the bathroom tap and anything else I touched before I managed to wash it off my hands. The kids were not happy. In the end I compromised and ordered Sudden Death and I could not be happier. It can be scraped out with a thumb nail and warmed using my fingers, and only on the very coldest mornings does it benefit from a gentle hairdryer. Once applied and cooled, it lasts for a whole day with only the occasional twist so long as it doesn't get wet. It doesn't cope well with drinks, but the flipside to that is that it washes out easily. I guess you can't have everything, but I am very happy with to have discovered this wax, and I don't mind drinking my coffee from a reusable "takeaway cup" if it keeps my whiskers looking magnificent all day. :o)
3.0 out of 5 stars Over Expensive
The products is keeping the moustache well (leaves a white mark sometimes though) but 16 pounds is too much for this product
5.0 out of 5 stars Sudden death
Really brilliant product. The best moustache wax I have used yet. Holds the moustache all day long. Easily applied. Larger pot that most other moustache waxes so I envisage it lasting a long time! 10/10 would recommend.
This is all you need to know. Bare Bones.
Im on to my second can of Bare Bones now so it has been a while and i can now leave a legitimate review… so for starters i will list off the points im going to hit here, Strength, Ease of use, How long it holds, Smell, and over all look. So i am a fireman and ive been able to wear this wax through brush fire, structure fire, and car fire (high heat-low heat) in masks and in water and this stuff HOLDS and holds well. I do wear it as a handle bar and this wax hasnt pilled up or thinned out through the heat or water… the hold to bare bones is great and keeps its position without worry, sometimes i have to put it back into its position (the stache) after mask ups pr removal of coats ect… but thats expected. Sent… it smells natural and i actually like it. For the people that complain about the sent dont really get the point of no added chemicals or dyes. My facial hair is happier and it seems to take to the wax so much better over time. Its pretty easy to get out of the can with the provided pick and the warmth of my fingers soften it up enough to apply. This stuff seriously rocks and youll be hard pressed to find anything better. Ive tried other stuff and wasnt as impressed. As pf getting it out i dont use their wax remover (im sure its great) i use man made wash and it comes right out. Love this stuff!
Best wax I've tried yet
The media could not be loaded. I usually use prorasso and I can tell this is going to suit me much better. I have to work out in the wilderness in all manner of elements, wet, dry, hot or cold, and the prorasso just can't keep up.Death Grip has a channel with some instructional videos on moustache care and how to apply their waxes - I highly recommend watching some of them as I did. For best results you're going to want a hairdryer and a good comb handy.Upon opening the tin, I was greeted with a very solid wax. It's unscented, with a pleasant aroma that reminded me of leather and haybarns. I wanted to really test how strong the hold was, so I put in a very small amount and styled my stache in the evening, then went to bed. Stuff worked great, held over night and was shaped the exact same when I woke up. I went to work and it was pretty wet/cold outside, and lots of condensation built up on my stache. Now at this point, any other wax I've used would have turned greasy and lost its hold, leading to a filthy looking, limp, wet dog of a stache. But the Death Grip, true to it's name, still held with no grease or loss of shape. When I got home and went to remove the wax, I found it comes out quite easily with beard oil, hot water and a vigorous combing. That last thing I'll say is that the key to both styling with this wax, and removing it, is PATIENCE. Don't rush, take your time, and you should have no issue both applying and removing it.
رائع
ممتاز جداً وقوي لكن تفاجئت انوا يبيلوا مزيل خاص له
It is amazing
It deserves the 5 stars rating, strong hold and good scent
Perfekt!
