I bought this just prior to preparing a meal for a group of eight. I needed to slice onions for the large batch of French Onion Soup. I needed to cut up apples for an Apple Matchstick Slaw. Then, of course, cucumbers, carrots, and tomatoes needed to be chopped up for the salads. I got through those jobs quickly an easily. The onion slices were uniform in thickness and led to high quality soup. Not to mention many fewer tears than when slicing by hand. Slicing those apples to match sticks by hand would have been next to impossible. All of the slicing for the salads would have taken so much more time with a unit like this.The unit has a quality feel to it and the blades are very sharp. As other reviews mentioned, one must be careful, else it would be possible to slice off a finger tip.As other reviews mentioned, when finished slicing there is a bit left over that is either wasted or requires chopping by hand.On the wish list would be an attachment for larger julienne slicing. If the ones included, the small size is great for shredding and the larger worked great for match stick sized pieces. So, as is, one could not make potato french fries without using one of the slicers and running them through twice.It seems it's hard to find one of these that does everything. I rated this one high because it is a high quality build at a reasonable price and does everything the advertisement stated it would do.

A good, sturdy mandolin. I found it quite easy to disassemble and put together for the cutting options I required. The blade is very sharp and mostly has cut through fairly well, however I did find that cutting sweet potato was a little bit tricky as it kept on stopping part way through, which was quite awkward to try and fix. I think it was because it was a large sweet potato, so next time I will cut in half lengthwise to provide a smaller cutting size in the unit. Overall I'm very happy and found this to be a great timesaver.

Very pleased, simple to use, gloves provided, slices potato’s down to 2mm effortlessly. Various attachments to change the thickness of what you want to slice.

Whilst the build quality appears good, these are quite fiddly to set up and to use. Does chop vegetables but not the best for firmer items such as potatoes. A good beginner set if you don't plan on using it that often. A good price.

When I was looking for a slicer there were so many on the market it was easy to get confused. In the end I chose this model, mainly because of the high proportion of positive reviews/ratings. I have used it on numerous occasions with a variety of the blades and have never had a problem. The extendable legs are a real advantage as they save you having to try to hold the device in one hand whilst slicing with the other, as you do with some models. It is also very easy to clean and the handy little brush that is provided makes it a lot safer when cleaning around the blades. Some reviews comment on its size but I find the extra length an advantage, especially when slicing something courgettes, carrots etc lengthways. There is even a blade guard that can be put on when not in use.All in all a great bit of kit a a reasonable price.

Super efficient slicing (bought so I could make home made crisps & it slices potatoes in seconds). Could have used a 1mm slicer though instead of the min 1.5mm if I'm super critical. Easy to clean though and the folding stand at least means it doesn't take up too much cupboard space. Holder for the different slice sizes etc could be a little wider to accommodate the grater boards (which is slightly bigger than the slicer's) which would allow me to store the grater and leave the slicer on the mandoline instead so each time I put away I have to take the slicer out, store it with the others and put the grater one back in.

Not used my mandolin much yet but very happy with it, especially the pair of gloves that cone with it in the box. Believe me, they're essential.Simple to put together and easy to use. Veggies are a snap with this and it also makes meal choices better and healthier.

endlich mal ein Hobel, der hält was es einem versprochen wird. Er ist stabil, hat einen sicheren Stand und ist super scharf.Durch die verschiedenen Einlagen, können verschiedene dicken geschnitten werden (z.B. Gurken für einen Gurkensalat [sehr dünn] oder Gurken zum Frühstück [etwas dicker]). Auch das Stifteln von Möhren für die Suppe lies sich einfach damit umsetzen. Wir haben noch nicht alles ausprobiert, aber mit dem, was wir getestet haben sind wir sehr zufrieden.Ein Auffangbehälter zum Unterstellen wäre schön gewesen, aber da wir genügend Teller haben ist dies kein Grund für uns einen Punkt abzuziehen, da wir ansonsten sehr zufrieden sind. Dafür waren gleich zwei Handschuhe im Lieferumfang enthalten.

Det blev strul med leveransen. Skulle komma på onsdag, vi väntade, leveransen avbröts när vi satt och väntade. Till slut besked, kommer torsdag, 28 min före lovad tgid, vi väntade, avbröts leveransen. Kom till slut väldigt sent på fredagen. Mandolina robusta e tagliente - Facile da pulire, meno da usare
La mandolina è robusta e realizzata con cura. I materiali sono ottimi e l'acciaio inox la rende scorrevole, resistente e facile da pulire. Il funzionamento non è immediato, ma ci si prende la mano dopo poco.CONFEZIONELa scatola arriva senza il classico sigillo: male. All'interno:- la mandolina;- 6 accessori per il taglio;- il classico porta ortaggi;- un guanto;- una spazzolina;- il porta accessori.FUNZIONAMENTOI vari accessori si incastrano bloccandosi col bottone rosso: il meccanismo non è molto preciso.Le lame sono protette da una guaina e sono molto taglienti, tuttavia il taglio non è molto scorrevole e si deve spingere con decisione e non troppo veloce. Molto stabile e resistente alla pressione, il funzionamento è un po' macchinoso, ma dopo poco si trova il ritmo giusto. Lo scarto che lascia senza tagliare è abbondante. Nel portainserti non entra quello a grattugia.CONCLUSIONIOttima se acquistata in offerta, io l'ho presa a circa 25€ a Febbraio 2020. A prezzo pieno è un buon acquisto, ma niente di speciale. La confezione senza sigillo lascia l'amaro in bocca. Il funzionamento è molto meno agevole di quello che si può immaginare, ma il risultato che si riesce ad ottenere con una buona dose di impegno è ottimo, come da aspettative. Il portainserti è progettato male ed è realizzato con materiali scadenti, mentre il resto è eccellente. La robustezza e l'acciaio inox conferiscono "valore" alla mandolina.Spero di essere stato d'aiuto.
