5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent full feature powerful Transmit Receive radio, which is rechargeable too, from ESYNIC
I am really delighted with these Walkie Talkies from ESYNIC. They are a massive 5 watts too (5WATT / 1WATT selectable), with a quality antenna, DTMF encoded, 128 Memory Channels, even an FM receiver (65MHZ to 108MHZ), as well as of course the transmit receive frequencies (RX / TX) of 136mhz - 174mhz (VHF) and 400mhz - 520mhz (UHF).It features too, a rechargeable lithium-Ion 704v battery 1800mAh, which charges the device on anexcellent cradle, connected to a standard 5v USB phone type charger. When not in use, I simply switched the TX/RX "walkie talkie" to FM, and listened to one of the manyradio stations while working.Remember this is supplied as a pack of 1, but I ordered 2, so that I could make best use of contactbetween 2 persons while working etc.I found that if I was working on the same site as a colleague, eg a garden centre, supermarket, then the1 watt setting was fine, but if you are a fair distance from a colleague, example on a very long walk adistance apart, then the high power setting is more useful.Thank you for an amazing product, at a really good price. I took advantage, at the time, ofBolo Prime Day, which saved me a fortune by buying two (as I really did need two), but still a bargain even when no promotions applied. Included are 4 images showing the radios in use and being charged up on their cradles.
5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible value
This is the second unit I’ve bought as they are very good. The radio is very robust, easy to use and has a very good battery life.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good radio but there is a design fault
This is a good little rebranded radio and could be much better if it didn't have its design fault/flaw, which I will come too shortly but hence my four stars due to this.Great sound quality. Quick scanning through channels/frequencies. Squelch is excellent. Ability to offset frequencies if you encounter any bleed-over from neighbouring channels or interference. WFM/NFM switching. Battery performance is excellent and lasts a long time.I have purchased a separate antenna, which gives an additional 3dB gain and also bought an adapter to connect to my external antenna, so I can receive from further away. Works well. The radio comes with some channels programmed into it and you can add your own by keying in frequencies using its keyboard but you would be far better off buying a Data Lead to connect it to your computer and uploading your freuqencies using Chirp software. Now, here is the design fault/flaw with this radio. When you connect your Data Lead to the radio terminal, the Chirp transfer window will mainly say, "Radio Did Not Respond", when you are trying to download or upload your frequencies. This is because the housing for the terminal jacks on the radio are slighty raised, thus causing the Data Lead not to connect properly. To bypass this, you have to manually push the Data Lead in and hold it in tightly with one hand whilst transfering your frequencies. Then it will work perfectly. I initially thought I had a faulty Data Lead and requested a replacement but when that did the same, I saw the issue. However, the included earpiece/microphone works perfectly, as it looks as though they've extended the plugs by half a millimeter to compensate. So, do not send the radio for a replacement, as it is a common fault/flaw with this rebranded radio but other than that, I am happy with mine.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very well made
It's a very good radio good audio with lots of different features and it's easy to manually program it with different frequencies, also good quality and value for money .
5.0 out of 5 stars It works... Connects to 'Chirp'.
Just the same as Baofeng Uv5r and can be programmed with 'Chirp' software..
3.0 out of 5 stars A good cheap starter ham radio
Originally purchased for work use, incorrectly thinking I would be able to use a licensed radio such as this on PMR frequencies and being able to take advantage of the higher transmitting power, for clearer communication when inside a building where license free PMR radios tend to fall short. whilst capable of transmitting/receiving PMR frequencies, after doing some research to get a license it became clear that it would not be legal in the UK to use a licensed radio on the license free PMR frequencies so unfortunately not fit for my intended purpose. That said when used correctly in accordance with the ham radio license, it is a great radio to communicate with other ham users, easy to program, loud, clear audio, good battery life and long range. Now the downside to this unit is it is not a robust as it looks and after dropping it once the clip for the battery broke off meaning I had to resort to tape to keep the battery in place and after many months of use the volume control stopped working properly, but as I said it is a great cheap radio to start off with, some points to bear in mind when purchasing this radio for use in the UK is that you will require a license for this unit which is fairly easy to get after doing an online exam and the fee is fairly cheap.
5.0 out of 5 stars great produckt
great produckt at a great price we enjoy it over the christmess
1.0 out of 5 stars Updated review - Not great with too much interference
UpdateNow have had for 2 years, and really just wasn't upto the job. Crackly sound pretty much after a few months and then a year later kept tripping the electrics.Would not buy again!Does the job, pretty good value. So far, so good.Has some interference so have to find an ideal position.Charging socket could be better as can be placed slightly misaligned and it will not charge.
