5.0 out of 5 stars Never ending bedding, treats and perfect boredom breaker
What can I say! These pods are amazing! They’re quite big so wouldn’t think they would be any good for dwarf hamsters unless you break them before putting them in the cage but I will review that in April as I am taking charge of a two year old dwarf hamster then that hasn’t been looked after properly so it will be interesting to see him with all the little treats in store for him. As for Syrians being larger this is a perfect boredom breaker. They start with having to bite through the outer shell which does take quite some time. If your Syrian is on the small side you may have to give him a little hand by cracking the shell as they are quite tough to crack. One inside it is full of natural bedding that they can carry off to their beds, it’s so soft and luxurious bedding and is great if your hamster is sensitive to man made bedding. Don’t let the small amount of bedding fool you though. Once he starts pulling it out it’s like a magicians box, it’s never ending and would last a couple of weeks if you save some of the bedding. When they have got through some of the natural fibre in the middle of these pods there are edible seeds which your hamster can munch on. Mine loves them. I do tend to bury some in the bottom of his cage so he can forage and find the lovely treats himself. If you have sawdust or wood pellets at the bottom of your cage it does tend to make a bit of a mess so clear up could take longer than usual but it’s all worth it in the end.Give them a try, I’m sure your hammie will love them. And as you are getting three things for the price of one (boredom breaker, bedding and treats) they are well worth the money.Do shop around as some people on here charge stupid money for them. You can also buy them from Pets at Home for £1.99 for two pods, one large and one slightly smaller. These are total gems!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Provide activity and warmth
These are fantastic. All my gerbils have always loved them. The gnawing gives them something to do, helps keep their teeth ground down, and the fluff inside is so supersoft and warm! They line their beds with it and seem to love it. They also enjoy eating the seeds inside the fluff. A must buy!

As described
5.0 out of 5 stars For the price you can not go wrong
The amount of fluffy bedding you get from these is unreal - Crack it open and the let the hamster to the rest its got a cotten/silk kind of feel to it
1.0 out of 5 stars So dangerous for hamsters
The “wool” inside although nice, fluffy and warm is so dangerous for pets. Mine put it in her cheeks to move it to her upstairs area and must have ate it- she became very unwell. Fortunately I figured out she was constipated and syringed fruit puree into her mouth so that she passed the wool, bless her. Since then I have spoken with pet stores who have confirmed the danger of this substance, as hamsters can actually get caught up in it and become very distressed!!!! Shredded paper is better than the stuff inside these pods!!! Avoid!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars They are big
I brought them for my little nephews hamster and straight away the hamster ziggy loved it he was biting it straight away it has bedding inside and also seeds for them to eat brilliant
3.0 out of 5 stars Not for dwarf hamsters
My two dwarf hamsters first tried to attack it but I think the outside is too hard for them to get through. I tried breaking into it slightly but no luck. Maybe it’s better for other hamsters or bigger rodents. It is very soft inside though and would be a fun boredom breaker for other bigger animals I reckon.
