    This item simply did not work so it was returned. The sand would not flow and of course that is kind of essential for a sand timer to work. Also noticed that the sand was sticking to the glass. I have two other sand timers (20 and 30 mins) so I am going to search to see who supplied them.

    In my counselling role I sometimes use a sand-timer with clients. This is fairly good but sand can stick occasionally and is probably more suited as a toy. Not as good as my previous glass one.

    Interesting that I'm apparently the first person to leave a review for this item.Anyway, it arrived and the duration accuracy upon testing was fine; generally within a minute of the specified 45mins.However, what was NOT fine that was that after just a few goes with it, I noticed that during one timing cycle the sand stopped falling half way through a the timing cycle! This is such a shame, because even if it does this say just one in ten cycles (and I haven't got the patience to find out what the actual failure rate is; it could be less or more frequent than that), I can't rely on it for timing lessons. It would thus be only suitable as a novelty item. I therefore regrettably sent it back for a refund. I have other sand timers that never jam during a timing cycle; I can only assume that it must be the quality of the sand; perhaps if the sand particles were smoother before being inserted into the glass body then they would be less inclined to jam up? I wonder if this review will get posted.

    I was really looking forward to receiving this purchase as my partner who is a driver needed a 45 minute timer to monitor his breaks. Unfortunately the flow of sand is extremely unpredictable and for the sand to go from the top to the bottom took 2 hours and 10 minutes. Not at all as described and I would not recommend it.

    Hatten wir gesehen und für unsere Kinder als äußerst praktisch angesehen.Beim Hausaufgaben machen, üben, lernen oder jeder anderen zeitlich begrenzten Aufgaben super einsetzbar.Leider hat diese (aber nur diese, haben noch andere Zeiteinteilungen) den Fehler, nicht genau 45 Minuten zu "laufen", sondern eher 55 Minuten.Deshalb ein Stern abgezogen, finde sogar das man eigentlich mind. 1,5 Sterne abziehen sollte!
