5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic quality journal
My renewed interest in fountain pens is still quite recent so I am not exactly the most experienced to comment on this... However the Clairefontaine paper (as used by Rhodia in this journal) is sublime and has a luxury, silky sheen to it.To be honest I find it too smooth with my fountain pen as my custom ground nib was already silky smooth... Combine the two and I found the experience far too slippery.I would expect it to be acceptable with many other FP nibs, but it is equally wonderful to use with standard BP (I am currently using Parker G2 Gel ink) which is ultimately what I purchased it for. This makes for a pleasing work journal so I definitely recommend, although I hope a more professional colour will be in stock next time I need to purchase... 😅
5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely silky paper
This notebook is a joy to write on.
5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous book
I'm echoing what other people are saying really. The nicest paper for fountain pens, no feathering, really silky. Does not come with pen holder but these are avaliable on a popular auction site for a few pounds. I will always buy these books!
5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Clairefontaine paper
I looked carefully at the quality of the paper when purchasing this notebook and after using it for several months I can say that I made the right choice. The Clairefontaine paper is one of the smoothest and most durable compared to similar products.I mainly use pencils, coloured pencils, inks and brushmarkers and the results are optimal. Occasionally I also use some watercolours applied lightly and the paper responds well, even though, the paper deforms a little bit.I also tried Copic markers, they bleed through the page so I suggest applying some paper underneath when using them on this notebook.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good notebooks
The Rhodia Webbie is a good quality notebook. It contains fewer pages than the Leuchtturm 1917 (a broadly equivalent comparison) and its lines are helpfully, for my writing, more generous so I tend to go though them faster than I go through Leuchtturm books. The Rhodia paper feels slightly heavier and has a smoother finish than the Leuchtturm 1917. For fountain pen users the Rhodia shows less bleed-through than the Leuchtturm - I found the Leuchtturm didn't like Pelikan Edelstein ink and that my writing was visible through pages even when writing with a fine nib and non-Pelikan ink. The Rhodia copes well, even when I am using an "inky" pen, so I can use both sides of a page. Will I buy more of these notebooks? Absolutely.
4.0 out of 5 stars Just the greatest sketchbooks !
I love these Rhodia plain sketchbooks . The paper is so smooth and the size a5 is perfect . It is a page turner for me sketching ! Beautiful feel to the cover , great elastic and the colours are so rich and varied . I use ink brush and Posca and acrylic paint and it all stays beautifully on the pages . As an artist I highly recommend these Rhodia sketchbooks . I have purchased more than one . The a6 are quite nice too and small enough to bring about with you . Buy these you won’t be sorry .
5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice quality notebook
The covers feel really nice. It’s perfect for writing with a fountain pen, and I haven’t experienced any bleeding through the pages.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great pocket notebook
Fits my purpose perfectly as a small pocket notebook
Excellent notebook
Well, it's Rhodia. This is my first notebook from them, and it lived up to the hype. The hardcover feels super premium and is soft to the touch. The paper has been great and holds up to my fountain pens well. I like the slightly off-white paper and lined ruling as well. There is some ghosting, though. It's not enough to bother me, as it's quite minimal. I have had no issues with bleed or feathering using Noodler's Air Corps ink in a Noodler's Konrad fountain pen and rollerball.Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. The ribbon bookmark is higher quality than some lesser notebooks I've used, and so is the elastic band. It's a bit expensive for the size of notebook it is, but I guess you pay a bit for the name and the quality.
Paper Quality Is Great.
Paper quality is as good as every other Rhodia product I’ve used. Great for fountain pens. The only thing I have to complain about is that it’s a little stiff. But that should be fine once I’ve broken it in a little more.
Libreta pequeña. Bonita.
Elegante, elástico de buena calidad, hojas que se sienten bien al tacto. PapelDe buena calidad. La recomiendo.
Stationary & Good writing tools will ALWAYS BEST IPHONES
My first Rhoda had a Black cover but I found a rare (in Canada) Grid Mole Skin 5x8One thing I notice is paper and pen (felt top or pencil. The new Sharpie Fine is smooth on this and does not smudge or transfer to other side of pageColor of this Red Poppy always helps me while sorting in my Black/Grey PackSafe. It’s POPS. 😁Cover Seems to not scar as much as othersGood luck Stationary Fans
