5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing for the price, not the quality of CamelBak but what do you expect!?
There are plenty of reviews here praising the setup so I'm not going to dwell too much on it, the real question is should I spend the extra to buy a CamelBak top brand product or will this suffice? After all you can buy two of these for the price of the CamelBak system and we all know the saying 'buy nice or buy twice'....The bag alone looks worth the money I paid overall - nice small compact bag with extra room for additional items. Quality looks great so far, no issues. Nice and comfy, water feed works nicely. The water bag - ok so the main difference between this and a CamelBak system is the main 'lid' to fill the bladder. A CamelBak has a nice twist lock system and is easy to use. This one is a simple screw thread which can take a few goes to get right. If the threads don;t align it might leak... you can then force click the threads in but this might damage it long term, so i suggest taking a deep breath and trying to line them up again. Once you think you have it, turn the bladder upside down and give it a squeeze to test it. The lid will be at the top of the bag anyway, so the chances of a leak are low, but this is essentially the biggest difference with the premium equivalent.I recommend getting some Miltons sterilising fluid to clean the bag before each use... I have literally no idea how you can dry the inside well enough to avoid storing it damp, so instead am opting to sterilise before use. I think there are cleaning kits but I really don't have time to mess around with that. This will be an issue no mater what product you buy.TL;DR - Buy nice or buy twice. At this price you can buy twice. Great product!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, low price
I bought this as I wanted something that worked as well as a Camelbak without the hefty price tag. This is the perfect alternative. It's well made, comfortable, looks good and, most importantly, it does exactly what it should.I have had it about a week or so now and have so far used it for running, cycling and working (digging holes). It fits me (6'3" with a 46" chest) really well and doesn't move around even when running. The chest strap even has room for adjustment should you have a larger chest than I. When using it at work I had it on for about 5 hours and the water stayed cool the whole time even though it was 25C and I radiate a lot of heat! The bag itself is really well made. It has three pockets. The main pocket has two clips at the top to attach the water pouch so you can get every last drop and there are couple of covered holes so you can poke the drinking tube through over either shoulder strap. There is also room in the main pocket for more the just the water pouch, I put a few snack bars and such in there. The second pocket has enough room for a compact bike pump and puncture repair kit, you could probably get a spare inner tube in there as well. The final pocket is only a little one but you could fit a wallet and keys in there if you don't want them in your pocket. The water pouch is no different to any other. What can I say? It doesn't leak! Unless you don't put the lid on straight but you soon realise. The bite valve is really well made, it doesn't leak other than the occasional drip even when I leave it on. There is a little on/off valve just behind the bite valve which works perfectly and is easy to turn one handed when cycling. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and shall continue to use it at every opportunity!
4.0 out of 5 stars Well-made and designed.
I bought this for my first "ultra" run and the necessary training to go with it. For the price, it's astonishingly good quality. I thought it might be likely to fall apart after a few runs but, if anything, it seems over-engineered. The 600D Cordura material is rather heavier than seems necessary but that does make it tremendously robust. It's ideal in size, having just enough room for the obligatory essentials alongside its 2 litre water bladder. I had not used a water bladder before, but I found it very easy to drink from and had no hint of the leaking that some report. I particularly like the mesh pockets on either side of the outside of the bag, into which I was able to stuff several food bars and a pack of tissues. However, I have one warning. The shoulder straps are faced with a rough material that grips the shoulders well and does not slip around. The drawback is that these straps snag and pucker the soft material of a polyester running vest. I made quite a mess of two favourite running vests before I realised what was going on. It doesn't seem to spoil a tough cotton t-shirt.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing value
Bought for marathon training, really lightweight but strong construction, worked great on training runs so far, no complaints at all for the price.
Alles super geklappt
Etwas langer Postweg
A recommander.
Satisfaite
