The standard nipples that come with the Playtex bottles have a weird shape to them. The nipple isnt as long as these breast-like nipples. My child was having a hard time latching to the standard ones. No issues since switching to these nipples. They are so reasonably priced too.
Fits Playtex Drop Ins
When I first bought them, I thought they didn't fit the playtex drop ins like advertised. However because it has an extra lip on the nipple where it attaches to the ring that attaches to the bottle, you have to pull/push kind of really hard to get the nipple past the ring. It then fits like a normal playtex nipple would. It seems like my baby likes the shape of these better than the normal ones, he dribbles less milk out of his mouth. Although he doesn't seem to show a huge preference between the two.
Works as advertised
I breast fed completely for the first eight weeks, but my milk was not fatty enough and my poor baby was crying all the time. I had to switch to formula and we tried the Playtex Breast-Like Nipple and he never rejected the bottle. The even fit the shape of his mouth very similar to how my breast did. Great purchase. I did note someone else commented that the nipple turned yellow after a few uses. It does change color a little bit (I only hand wash my bottles and nipples) but it has not affected the quality or how my son is able to eat.
Quality product.
My daughter liked the breast-like nipples the best, although eventually she got used to several different kinds. Switching to medium flow made feedings easier and quicker, and since we'd already established good breastfeeding we didn't have any issues with her not wanting to go back to the real nipple.
Helps with fussiness bc it reduces air swallowed
This helped so much with cutting out air being swallowed. I was originally using the naturalatch bc that is what comes with the playtex bottles but these are worth every penny!! And like in the name they are breast shaped, so breastfeeding babies are more likely to accept them.
