5.0 out of 5 stars Will spray any type of paint! Best Power Tool EVER!!!
(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() So, ordered this spray gun. It arrived super fast...I expect nothing less from Bolo.Well packaged, which was easy to dispose. Now onto the actual product. It was easy to assemble, hose connects easily to compressor on one end and the handheld gun on the other end.The compressor has a comfortably long power cable which made it convenient to use, although i did need to use an extension lead as my garden is quite large. The handheld spray bit has a smallish silver tin which holds your paint etc. because of its small size, I did have to refill quite often. But it was not really an inconvenience. Instead it felt like I was taking small, regular, well deserved breaks. The gun nozzle needs to be adjusted to your needs, at the back of the gun there is an adjustable airflow, it took me less than a minute to work out the best setting for my needs and off I went. The coverage achieved was amazing, I was able to do a fence panel in less than 2 minutes. The coverage was so good that when it came to applying a second coat, I decided there was no need, as the one coat I did was so thorough that it simply did not need a second coat. The gun produces a fine spray with very little overspray, so i did not even bother using masking tape around the edges. I used Ronseal sprayable one coat fence, which went on like butter. The entire job was effortless.Next I went on to do the decking with a very thick no nonsense decking oil. The tin stated that this was not suitable for spraying. The Terratek spray gun simply laughed in the face of the decking oil. I was able to spray a decking area of 8 metres by 10 metres in around 30 minutes. I almost felt like I was cheating and I would be told off. The Terratek is a monster. It can spray anything in no time.2 years ago, i sprayed the same decking and same 25 fence panels and it took me about 3 days to do it all. This year, I was able to do the same work, with a far greater finish in just under 4 hours. My wife went out, I started the job, she came home 5 hours later to find me lounging on the sofa, freshly showered eating cake. She got irritated as she thought I had wasted the day on the sofa. I waited for her to finish her rant, then took her to the garden. Her jaw dropped, I went into smug mode and sat myself back on the sofa, I'd love a cup of tea with this cake i called out at her....I love the Terratek spray gun. It is truly invincible. It was clearly designed by a genius. It makes very tiring, messy work into a quick and easy task.Cleaning the handgun was an easy 2 minute task, abit of detergent and warm water in a bucket and you are done. Ready for its next use.I have since used the Terratek spray gun to respray my bike and iron gate with hammerite paint(very thick stuff) and my previously scuffed alloy wheels, which now look brand new.My Terratek has saved me loads of time and energy. When I read that it can spray even the thickest of paints, I was sceptical, but this product actually does what it claims and more.Possibly now my favourite power toolThe only thing on my mind is this, sprayable fence paint cost alot more than the paintable one. In future, I will not be buying the sprayable tubs, with the Terratek, I can simply buy the cheaper paintable tubs and save a tonne of money at the same time, as my Terratek will go to town on anything.I recommend the Terratek to anyone who is planning on painting anything ever and wants to get it done in a 10th of the time with a better finish.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great job-much easier than a brush!!
Wow-this is an amazing gadget for the price. My wrists are bad so didn’t want to paint my 27m breeze block garden wall & thought I’d give this a try. After brushing the wall of loose stuff & scraping back a few inches of soil, I masked off the areas I didn’t want to paint, covered the bushes with a dust sheet & used a plastic drop sheet. I found however that I didn’t actually need so much protection as the spray didn’t travel (I chose a still Day)& there was no fear of covering my neighbours plants!!I used Sandex extra smooth masonry paint & bought two plastic jugs. For the first coat I added 250ml water to the jug of 600ml paint & stirred well. I did strain it through a ‘knee high’ ladies tight(used several during the job😉) but don’t know if this strictly necessary.I used the ‘curcular’ Setting with the volume control turned right up & with regular wiping of the nozzle & silver air blower found the machine very easy to use following the instructions in the booklet. The second coat i dispensed with the masking & just held a damp newspaper over the top edge(& a rubber glove) plus the drop mat. I also reduced the water element by 50ml.Good coverage which took about 3 hours per coat. The machine was very easy to clean (Sandex is water based). Wipe down the electric compressor part & put away. The gun/spray/pipe/can comes apart for easy cleaning which was easy with a hose & kitchen scrubber. All in all a great purchase-can’t wait to do my shed & deck!!!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money, very versatile.
For the price, this is a great bit of kit. I bought it to spray paint some chairs using a Farrow & Ball eggshell paint. The paint people wanted nearly £400 to do the job professionally, I got the job done for significantly less than a quarter the price. In fact, the most expensive part of the process was the paint (and I get to keep the sprayer for future projects). There is a knack to it, and the finish I got was't quite as fine as a professional job, but that might have been down to me. And to be honest it's nitpicking - it did a really good job. Just remember to water down the paints to work in the sprayer. I also added a drying inhibitor (like Floetrol) as that seemed to improve the finish even more.Instructions are comprehensive for the beginner and it's easy and relatively quick to clean out afterwards.
1.0 out of 5 stars Not Great
If you can get the Paint coming out, its not a bad little sprayer but to be honest its either not that well designed or needs a stronger motor.Fill the paint holder with Water and it will spray no problems, fill it with paint and its a different story.I only used a water based paint which wasn't supposed to need any thinning and to be honest if your going to have to water down your paint that much, your not going to get the protection or paint cover you need.I found that the paint holder worked best when not filled, which means you have to keep filling it up more often. The sprayer worked better when held upside down, which is pointless but it seemed that if you held it upside down the metal suction pipe would fill up with paint and expel it quite well out of the sprayer but once that pipe had emptied you had to turn it the right way up to fill the pipe again, holding the sprayer sideways also worked far better than trying to spray upright. The trigger switch isn't well designed either as this often came off or worked loose. The hose also came off a few times while in use.

Die Maschine ist nur so gut wie auch der Handwerker sie benutzt.
