5.0 out of 5 stars Does more than it says on the tin!
Have been looking for an adjustable overbed table and this fits the bill well. It is made from a box steel frame, and has a hard plastic top that reaches just a little over half way across a single hospital type bed (about 50-60cm). Height adjustment is via a simple lever and comes up to just over 100cm high, and can be lowered by holding the lever and gently pressing the top downwards.Packaging left a little to be desired as the main pole had sprung through the sides of the cardboard box, but all was ok.Assembly is by 6 bolts, a securing plate for the base, and comes with two different size large allen keys, and a spanner - all supplied with it. and 4 large plastic castors that simply screw on and tighten with the enclosed spanner. The instructions are quite basic, but putting it together was so simple and quick, an average person will have no trouble, obviously you need to be able to tighten the bolts, but as long as you have the strength to open a tin can, you'll be able to put this together.Overall it is worth the money it, the wheels do not seem to suffer from haunted trolley syndrome, and once height has been adjusted it, it seems very secure, and won't suddenly drop. It is not designed to take more than 10kg pressure, so don't try and pull yourself up on it like a zimmer frame, it's only a table, but a good one that is very stable and easy to push even on a thick carpet. Other overbed tables, seem to have those fiddly press stud things, to adjust height, this does not this is like the tables in hospital, but not quite as long, but they cost more than £200! so this is a bargain at £65.Update: Has now been in use on a daily basis for nearly 2 years now, during which time a whole herd of carers and nurses have come and gone, and it still works and looks like it did when I first brought it. So it is good to see that it's not gone up in price and is still available.I note one review said they had trouble adjusting the height, to do so you have to remember to hold the small handle that's underneath the end of the table as you lower or raise the table and let go when it has reached the desired height, you don't just push it down as you will struggle and probably damage the mechanism. As I say 2 years on and in constant use by various visitors to the house it is working just fine and still looks like new.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great piece of kit & great price
Bought this for my mum who's bed bound, as the fold-up (TV dinner) tables we were using. were too cumbersome and low. This took 5 minutes to assemble, and this is someone (me) who can't assemble anything. All the tools required are included (mini spanner and 2 Allen keys)The riser (up/down handle) isn't immediately obvious in how it works; yes you press it and the table rises and falls easily enough, but when u let go it stops it from going down., but it can still raise. The trick (as is in the instructions) that You press it down (locks) then let go, then press down slightly on the table and it stays there.Goes up to great height for a variable height bed.Very sturdy, great piece of kit and great price compared to others much dearer.
4.0 out of 5 stars Moving it up and down isn't the easiest
I expected it to be easier to lift and lower, actually from the way it looked I thought it was hydraulic. IT will go tall enough for me to use as a standing table or desk which I need for rehab but It will ony hold up to 10 kg. I didn't try it though at that weight because I didn't feel comfortable. It doesn't seem it would hold it but like I said I didn't try it. It is however sturdy enough for my mac mini and my monitor. As I am a bit laid up after ankle surgery my son wheels this to my bed every night and back to the living room so I can still work. Also because of the castors you might have difficulty putting it used the bed or sofa. I worked it out and overall I am happy with it especially for the price. So for laid up patients or even couchsurfing laziness, or if you just need something similar but mobile, I think it is still a good find.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, does the job table!
Got this for mum who is now living in hospital bed. Took a few minutes to build - easier with 2 people. Wooden floor essential, but table goes up and down with ease. The carers think it is brilliant. Well worth the money! Only improvement I can think of is a little lip around the edge of the table to stop spills running off.I don’t usually do reviews but this has helped my mum so much in her twilight years, I thought I would spend the word!
5.0 out of 5 stars Handy, versatile & sturdy
Great table which I use in various rooms. Fits neatly under the bed while using. Not over heavy but sturdy. Looks good, tidy and well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for my requirements.
I have been trying to find an overbed table that has large casters. This one is perfect It is very easy to move. The top is a made from plastic which makes it lite and also easy to get a grip on the underside for me when i am moving it when i am in bed
