5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fantastic mose
This is one of the best ergonomic mice I have ever used. Easy to set up and the battery life is amazing. It is light and comfortable to use and has been a godsend for my wrist. It is well built and the function to reduce the course speed by simply clicking the top button is a great addition. I highly recommend the mouse to anyone looking for a coach effective alternative to the big companies.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic value, fantastic mouse, as good as the best I have ever used.
I bought this mouse as an alternative to the more expensive Evoluent mouse, which, by the way, is excellent. Both are vertical mice, which means that your hand is actually in a natural position when using it. This means that there is no stress or tension on the muscles in your forearm, which means less stress overall, and it minimises the risk of nerve injury or repetitive strain injury. In my case, using a vertical mouse also helped me to completely recover from a nerve injury which stopped me driving and also resulted in me having to take time off work. This is part of the solution - keeping your keyboard as flat as possible and making sure that your wrists are not angled upwards (if necessary by rising the height of your chair and using a footstool for your feet, so that your keyboard is lower will also help). Try getting rid of any wrist rests, as they tend to make your wrist angle upwards, putting stress and strain on those muscles and tendons. It worked for me - I have been pain free for over three years now. I have been a huge fan of the Evoluent mouse for this reason, and when it broke and I needed a replacement I saw this and decided to give it a try as it is a fraction of the price of a new Evoluent. I am so glad that I did. Note, that this mouse is for RIGHT-HANDED use. I don't know if there is a left handed version, but they are not interchangeable. The mouse has a USB dongle, which is stored underneath the mouse when not in use. When I first put the dongle into the computer it didn't work, but a re-start of Windows sorted that problem out immediately. The mouse actually feels more comfortable than the Evoluent, if that is possible, as that is one of the best mice I have ever used. This TeckNet mouse has a soft, rubberised, smooth feel and fits my hands perfectly. The sensitivity was spot-on straight out of the box, and the cursor is smooth and responsive. For full disclosure, I work in the field of disability and often recommend equipment to people using computers. I will be purchasing these as the first choice mouse to try in future, a) because of the tremendous value, b) because it is as good as the Evoluent and c) because your hand is supported in a natural position which will minimise injury. Absolutely recommend this product. You will need 2 x AA batteries for the mouse as these are not supplied.I generally review any products I buy on Bolo, because I only ever purchase products myself after reading the reviews of others. 4.0 out of 5 stars Nicely designed though a little heavy. Great value for money
Having recently injured my right hand (a non-computer related injury), I have decided to be proactive and improve the ergonomic setup in my office. A vertical mouse seemed like a no-brainer and, having read many reviews, I decided to give this Tecknet mouse a chance -- at worst, it would a very small financial loss! The mouse is very nicely designed, fits my hand like a glove (?) and it's clear that the company had taken great care in designing and making it. Apart from anything else, they took several measures to extend battery life and although I have only used the mouse for a week, I believe them that the 2xAAA batteries may last 18 months. In fact, the only bad thing I can say about it is that it is a little difficult to move. A mouse is meant for movement and this, partly on account of its shape and partly because of its weight is slightly harder to move than most regular mice (I have used hundreds of mice over the years). Thus, precision moves are a little harder than with a good traditional mouse. So far, it's not been a major problem for me (I used it a little with Inkscape) but I imagine gamers and designers might want to take this into consideration. All in all though, it's a a very useable mouse.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great bit of kit and great service from Tecknet
I have 2 of these mice - free in the office and one at home. Easy to set up, long battery life and very comfortable to use.One of them developed a problem with the scroll wheel after a year and Tecknet replaced it for free without any delay - great service
5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the Anker equivalent
Well I've been using this for 14 months now after having TWO Anker equivalents die on me in just over 12 months! I'd had enough of the failing Ankers so decided to try this as well as the Hama equivalent. The mouse has been faultless and I'm still on the original batteries! I've had no issues with the DPI switching either as other's have mentioned. It works on most surfaces too, whereas the Anker knock-offs I've tried don't. The only slight issue for me? I've had to have the DPI setting on the top setting which seems to equate to the mid settings of most other mice, so if you like a really high DPI, i.e. very sensitive settings then perhaps look elsewhere. In terms of comfort, as a person who is well used to vertical mice, it's as good as any and I use it for 8 hours a day sometimes as part of my job with no issues. I would also add that the buttons have a good feel to them, i.e. not too hard to get a response like cheaper versions, and not too soft to accidentally press them.I have to say, without a doubt in my opinion, this is the best value wireless vertical mouse on the market. It does what all the others do for a lot less in price. By the way, the Hama is top notch too but obviously more expensive.Lastly, a word on all of these rubberised soft feel mice. They all take time for your natural hand 'oils' to sink in to be at their 'grippy' best, so if they feel a little slippy at first, stick with them, they get better believe me!
5.0 out of 5 stars Ergonomic mouse
Great product, easy to use and as I have used one before at work I now have bought this for my personal use at home. Works well and stops my hand and wrist from being painful when using my laptop
Comfortable, productive, wireless vertical mouse
When I first saw this mouse, I was surprised at the price of such a stylish vertical mouse. When I first received the product, it was very well boxed and neatly organised. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. The product does not feel or look cheap. I was very impressed with the material of the mouse, being a smooth and grippy material. The mouse fits nearly every hand, even my hands (I’m 7ft)!My favourite feature has to be the usb connection, it allows for users to use the mouse from almost anywhere in the room they are in. As well, it performs great on all surfaces, (mouse pad, glass, bed, wall, wood, desk, etc.). The buttons are very easy to click, and are not loud in any way! I appreciate the DPI changing feature, allowing for the best use of the mouse for all users. The page next and back buttons are a great feature, especially if you work with limited space! It saves having to move the mouse to the top of the screen. Also, if you are worried that the mouse will be hard to pick up when using it and move to the middle of your mouse pad, believe me, it is easy, thanks to the thumb grips! The only downside is the scroll wheel is particular in that, it works best when you scroll it at a 45 degree angle. If you try and scroll it vertically, it feels odd, and with pressure does not perform the best. But don’t worry, if you use it properly, it is great! All in all, this thing does a spectacular job and has impressed me! If you’re debating between a more expensive but nicer looking mouse and this one, then you should go with this mouse here! Not only does it look great, it performs great and will help your sore wrist or hand.
