Hi I got into candle making about a year ago and have been re-using left over wax from used candles, they tend to get messy after being re-made again and again and so wanted some new virgin wax to make brand new pillar candles, I live on an island and nowhere sells wax . so turned to the net and found your ECO SOY WAX, white as required and eco friendly and purchased a bag , well I should have bought some of that wax when I started a year ago, what a difference , absolutely brilliant stuff and no mess and once I have used this bag I will definitely buy a larger bag as it is so available , cheap and arrives very quickly after ordering , thank you very much.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for my candle business
This is the best value soy wax I have come across and I am impressed at how long it has lasted me. Makes a great amount of candles and wax melts so I have no complaints there. Very easy to use and burns really nicely. Produces slow burning candles which is great for my business and will definitely be buying in future.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, easy to use
I bought this product to make my own wax melts for family and friends. This product is very good value for money and has been able to make me loads of wax melts. The product came quickly and was packaged well. I feel this product is great value for you money and very easy to use. It even has the melting and pouring temperature written on the bag which is useful when making wax melts
4.0 out of 5 stars Consistency
The first time I bought it, it was in a resealable bag. The second time it was not in a resealable bag. The wax the second time round seems a lot more crumbly.I can't state the performance for candles yet with the second purchase but I can say the wax melts look crumbly.I'll have a mess on with the temperature when I pour and different mica and essential oil amounts. As of right now though the wax in the resealable bag seems to be of a better quality. It's very strange. In the future i would prefer to have the wax in the resealable bag. I just don't understand why they use two types of bags as well. Why not just use the resealable bags? It's much better since you can reseal it. Maybe the two need I a slightly different melting and pouring temperature.I am curious what the company/brand say about this.EDIT: after speaking to the seller I've been told the resealable wax is a fake product. For those using the wax for wax melts, the supplier states is more for candles.I've managed to make wax melts out of this though just fine by messing with temperatures. To be honest a blend of soy wax and something like coconut oil or wax would probably be perfect.Soy wax is known to be a little frustrating because even big brands using 100% soy wax can have holes in and such. But it's a cleaner option than paraffin wax apprently so people steer towards it. My issue was fixed by changing melting and pouring temperature slightly. So my guess is the soy wax in the resealable bag may have been some sort of blend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality versatile product. Fast delivery
Fast delivery. I have already used this item for candle making and it throws the scent well with my essential oils. Depending on the quality and scent of the oil will depend on how much you need to use varying on size o container too.Fantastic customer service as I sent a question and was responded to within half an hour! Highly recommend this product as can be used for skin care too. Great value for money. Thank you
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy peasy!
Made approx 5 v.large candles and 3 v.small ones with 1 bag: to buy them all would have been at least £60, I made them for £40. I put 4 cups in a pyrex dish, withhold for 7 minutes, added essential oils, moved into measuring jug and poured. I bought my soy wicks from hobbycraft, they're great, £2.50 for 9 high quality ones, essential oils from magic moments also really good, and I got my pots from TKMAXX approx £3.99 each for large ones. Tape chopsticks together with the wick inside to balance on the top of the candle. Enjoy:)
5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressed
I love this soy wax it melts quickly and is great for containers I made some 4oz candles but not lit them yet as it’s best to leave them to cure for two weeks for maximum sent throw so can’t comment on how they burn I also made some tea light size which I have lit the wax burned evenly and the sent throw was amazing for such a small candle I was impressed with how they turned out so I purchased some more and highly recommended to anyone who is a novice at candle making 🙂
3.0 out of 5 stars Decent for Beginners.
I am a first time candle maker so there may very well be something that I might be doing wrong. I have a few holes and visual imperfections that seem to remain even after burning. This may have been because I let it cool too much before pouring, as a result I have much experimenting to do.Also for some reason the scent throw isn't that great. Again this may be my fault due to the scent being added when the melted candle wax was going cloudy and begining to solidify. Or it may be that I heated the wax too high.Overall I am quite happy with the melt time of this wax as it melts really quickly. It pours really well. And seems to solidify relatively quickly. Once I experiment with the wax more I may update this review. As for the price. I think £11.62 is incredibly reasonable for 2kg of natural, vegan friendly wax.
