5.0 out of 5 stars Very good boots
Genuinely waterproof and super comfortable with a pair of thick socks. Excellent ankle support. Ideal for winter dog walking and easy to moderate hikes.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great value, fit and def waterproof
Spent ages looking for a pair of boots. I usually stick with goretex shoes (never good enough for wet winters) as find boots either annoying and heavy or lightweight but leak water (especially material whether goretex or not)but after a few soggy walks this autumn I was determined to spend some decent money on leather waterproof lightweight boots. Spent ages comparing brands and reviews for boots around the £150-200 mark but couldn't quite find a pair that matched what I wanted. Having previously worn and liked Colombia shoes I saw what they had and came across these for an absolute bargain price. Can't go wrong. Lightweight, waterproof so far on a handful of soggy dog walks through long grass and comfortable. Grip also seems good. I was worried they might feel a bit tightbon the width as my shoes were but these are more generous and fit a size 10 perfectly. Highly recommended.
4.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable and lightweight
I have 'Fred Flintstone' feet, so finding walking boots to fit is always a challenge without needing a bank loan. I researched lots of boots online and read numerous reviews before settling on these. They were mid price but I only wanted them for dog walking.I walk across trails that consist of dirt, grass and stones of all sizes in the summer and slippery mud, stones and long wet grass in the rest of the time. These have proven to be very impressive. They roll over the stones without feeling that sharp dig through the soles. They are lightweight so even when mud filled aren't like diving boots. They have excellent grip so I have much more confidence coming down the hill that my previous boots gave me. My feet have stayed dry in all conditions so far, the long wet grass has not penetrator. I walk through 1 or 2 inch puddles normally with just a hint of wet feet by my instep. This is because the tongue is a bit short, so overall they are very good, very good even.My only gripe is the tongue is too short. To be perfect the tongue could be an inch or two longer, which would make them both easier to tie and give total protection from any water coming over the top.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant
The best waterproof boots I’ve ever bought. 100% waterproof and immensely comfortable . Go slightly larger , ever so slightly small fitting
1.0 out of 5 stars Bitterly Disappointed - NOT Waterproof!
This is the third pair of walking boots I’ve purchased in just over a year. I purchased these (and previous pairs) solely for dog walking. The previous two pairs (both different manufacturers) have failed the simple ‘walking a dog through dewy grass) test. As I spent a little more than I usually do on this pair and as they are from a reputable manufacturer I had high hopes that they’d manage this. Initially, walking through dry fields, woods and lanes these boots seemed perfect. The fit, weight, support and grip are superb; however, the first time I walked through damp grass my feet were soaking in minutes. This is where it always goes wrong! Why do manufacturers sell a boot and claim they are waterproof if you can’t even venture into a dewy field? I’ve now returned these boots and requested a full refund, they are basically not fit for purpose, if you are looking for a waterproof boot I suggest you look elsewhere as unfortunately, there are not. Final note, I’ve given one star as zero stars are not available, that’s how disappointed I am with these boots.
5.0 out of 5 stars Two years in - Love them so much
Long term review - Bought two years ago. They're one pair in a regular rotation of three pairs of walking shoes I use on a regular basis - Occasional forays into hikes but mostly city walking. Did not need breaking in.About 3-6 months in I sprayed them once w a waterproof coating to top-up their water-resistance - They've continued to keep my feet dry throughout the seasons (but again, not walked much in tall wet grass or forded streams). For my foot shape (slighty flat, slightly broad in the toe) these have been brilliant - Never a heel blister or pinched pinkie toe.Have noticed the sole is wearing down across it's surface, so will replace them w another pair when the grip starts to be compromised. For me the sole's lasted decently well, but can see for others their mileage has varied. Same for waterproof-ness - Spraying helped, and definitely Not walking through wet grass - If you read hiking shoe forums, long wet grass overwhelms most mid-range mid-protection shoes, hence have ordered a pair of "outdry" graded (for downpour levels of resistance) Columbia boots for planned hillwalks.Very pleased with them, happy to recommend.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not waterproof
Nice looking boot and very comfortable. Unfortunately, they are definitely not waterproof. Took my dogs across a playing field and my feet were soaked by the end of it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Comfort at a reasonable price
I have had the boots for some 2 weeks and so insufficient time to make a full assessment. Indeed, it would help if requests from Bolo for reviews were delayed until a month after purchase. That said, the boots came earlier than expected and, to date, I have no complaints. They are comfortable to wear and appear to be robust and waterproof but only time will tell if this remains the case. I wear them daily when walking my dog on a range of surfaces with a variety of weather conditions and so far all is well.
Very pleased
As described and very comfortable and warm. True to size
Great
These boots are awesome! They’re surprisingly light for their size. They’re pretty comfortable too. They do run a bit big, so I had to get a half size smaller. I’ve been wearing them mostly for winter, and they’ve got great traction. I haven’t had any issues slipping. They keep my feet warm and dry, which is perfect for the cold weather.
Produto de qualidade.
Produto de muita qualidade e bonito.
Muy cómodos y en talla correcta
Buena calidad.
Comfortable and light...AT THE EXPENSE OF DURABILITY!
I've worn lots of hiking shoes/boots, and I could immediately tell these were a bit better than the rest.Very lightweight + good construction + good looks + broke in very fast! 5 STAR!Update (9 months later)! After 9 months, one of the boots suffered tearing of the material holding the lace hooks. While not abused, the boots did see a LOT of usage on paved paths + woodland trails. So, durability is the weakness of these boots. That said, the comfort + lightweight + traction is top tier!Clearly, the design philosophy here is 'Comfort/Lightweight > Durability'.I am going to leave these boots with the 5 Star Review I originally posted! They the most comfortable hiking boots that I've ever owned + they are so nice looking, you can wear them as everyday footwear and still look good. You get a lot of value in exchange for that reduced durability! So much so, that I bought a new pair to replace my old ones!
