5.0 out of 5 stars Great starter set!
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I used to airbrush paintings and crash helmets several years ago, had a lot of very expensive equipment that was unfortunately lost in a fire and I just never bothered going back to it all until recently.I don't intend to do airbrush stuff on the same scale as I did before and am now more into model making/painting my own 3d printed creations, so wanted something cheap, but not so entry level that I would outgrow it too soon. This set won the pick from a range of other starter kits simply because the compressor looked to be a bit more robust than the others and the airbrush itself looked to be of fairly good quality. So far I've not been disappointed. The compressor, although a diaphragm type and not having a reservoir, actually gives quite a good airflow and doesn't pulse like I thought it would. The downside is that even though it's not really noisy, it runs all the time due to having no tank. Eventually I will probably replace this with another compressor with a reservoir as that would still be cheaper than buying an external tank + regulator, but for now this is going to do the job just fine. The airbrush is a reasonably well made dual action that even comes with 3 extra needles/nozzles of different sizes, something I didn't even get with a £150+ Badger airbrush!I haven't had the chance to try the smallest size needle to see how it does detail work yet, but from just a few trial runs with the standard needle I think it will probably be fairly good. The only things I think would complete this set, would be a set of cleaning needles and a quick connect for the hose.Again, I expect I'll probably buy upgraded brushes in time as well, but in all this set is an ideal starting platform.Other that that I would def recommend this set to others and have already done so in various model making/3D printing groups online!
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality, easy to use and fabulous value for money
Fantastic value for money, well designed and thought out, this has been invaluable in my miniature painting with the added benefit that I can use the unit 'dry' as a blower to remove excess resin from my 3D prints prior to printing and excess water after washing and before curing. This entire package cost me less than I paid for just an airbrush over 40 years ago, and it is far superior as well!
4.0 out of 5 stars Works well once you understand paint thinning
I bought this kit mostly for priming models. Initially I had a lot of issues with clogging. On investigation I discovered that thinning my primer was the cause as the thinner evaporates quickly leaving a crusty residue - I changed from using thinner to using just water with a small amount of washing up liquid to thin my paint (one drop in 100ml of water and shake)The difference is astounding - no more clogging and paint flows well covering models quickly with 0.5mm nozzle fitted - having reduce surface tension due to the detergent in the water makes the paint cover evenly. In the pic shown, the base has had 2 coats and the dragon has had one coat - looking good. The pump seems good and I have had no problems with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Airbrush Magic Right Out of the Box!
This Timbertech Airbrush Kit with Compressor is perfect for both beginners and hobbyists who want to dive straight into the world of airbrushing. When I say it comes with everything you need, I mean it. Right out of the box, you're ready to create some pretty incredible effects, whether you’re working on paper, models, or even trying your hand at some fingernail art (yes, I tried it, and no, I didn't do a terrible job!).The airbrush gun is surprisingly easy to use. Thanks to the double-action feature, you can control both the airflow and the paint with just one finger, making it possible to achieve those soft gradients and precise details that take your work to the next level. The compressor, meanwhile, is compact, light, and oil-free, which means minimal maintenance and maximum portability. It’s also quiet, like, surprisingly quiet for something that shoots air with power.I love that the kit includes multiple nozzle sizes (0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.5mm), which gives you a lot of versatility in your projects. Whether you’re spraying a fine line for model details or covering a larger area, you’ve got the right tool for the job. The adjustable air outlet means you can fine-tune the pressure to suit whatever you're working on, which is a fantastic feature for getting just the right effect. One word of advice, when they say 'automatic switch on-off,' they mean it. I had it auto-start on me once when I was reaching for something, and let's just say it gave me a good laugh (and maybe a slight jump). But once you get used to it, that feature really does make things easy.Overall, this airbrush kit is incredibly well put together. It's versatile, easy to use, and has pretty much everything you need to get started without any extra fuss. Whether you’re new to airbrushing or a seasoned pro, this kit makes it easy to create magic.
5.0 out of 5 stars Airbrushing Made Easy! My Teen’s New Favorite Tool!
My 14-year-old son bought the Timbertech Airbrush Kit for his art projects, and it has been fantastic! He recently used it to create a stylish table, blending different sections seamlessly with acrylic paints. The airbrush is very easy to use, even for a beginner, and we were impressed by how little paint was needed to get great coverage. The compressor is pretty quiet, which was a nice surprise, and it runs smoothly without any issues. It gives a smooth, professional finish and has quickly become one of his favourite tools. No doubt this will be used for many more creative projects in the future. A very happy 14 year old, and an equally happy parent! Highly recommend!
5.0 out of 5 stars Works very well
Did better than I expected for this price. My first attempt at airbrushing. I found the flow control to be good and easy to use. Documentation could be better (e.g. on what the other nibs are for and how to change them). Overall fully recommend.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Fantastic Airbrush Kit!
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I got the Timbertech Airbrush Kit with Compressor as a Christmas gift for my fiancé, and it’s safe to say it was a hit! He hasn’t put it down since opening it. The compressor is quiet and reliable, and the double-action airbrush gun is easy to use, even for someone relatively new to airbrushing. The kit comes with everything you need to get started, making it perfect for beginners and experienced hobbyists alike. The quality is top-notch, and the results are incredible—smooth and precise every time. Whether it’s for painting miniatures, crafting, or other creative projects, this kit delivers. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore airbrushing or upgrade their tools!
Great kit!
Works great, quality feel. Compressor is quiet.
Pretty Awesome!
Ive had an iwata airbrush that I received as a Christmas present due to expressing interest in wanting to learn airbrushing, but I’ve been lacking on buying a compressor for it. I also worried about breaking the iwata brush because of my inexperience, so I found this listing on Bolo and decided it would be worth trying, since it comes with a gravity feed, dual action brush that is similar to the iwata I already own and I wanted to practice on something I wouldn’t be as afraid to learn on and potentially damage in the process. So far I’ve just had trouble learning paint ratios and actually figuring out a technique, but I have to say I’m really glad I picked up this set. The kit comes with multiple nozzle sizes, multiple needles for the airbrush, and an air hose, among other practical items to get started. It’s been a blast not having to worry about anything and just diving into an extension of my hobbies. Mechanically I haven’t had any issue with either the compressor, the airbrush, or any of the components. It works totally fine, the compressor isn’t aggravatingly loud. My only issue with the compressor is the feet don’t do a great job at keeping the compressor steady, so please be cautious if you’re going to have your compressor on a table or high surface because I think it could quite literally hop off your work surface. Still, I think it’s a great kit to buy if you’re really new to airbrushing and want to dive in without spending an obscene amount of money. If anything happens to fail with anything, I’ll update my review accordingly.
