5.0 out of 5 stars Good product.
Works as it says and loosens wax well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended by the pharmacist
Bought this on advice for my son.It is easy to use and doesn't bother him at all unlike other treatments. So far so good, seems effective.
4.0 out of 5 stars Did the job nicely
Nice product, helped with my wax build up. However the dropper isn't very controlled so you have to be quick otherwise it drips before you get it to your ear, even without squeezing!
5.0 out of 5 stars Louder
Easy to use, good value, seems to have worked slightly as I can now hear slightly better from my left ear which was always quieter than my right ear.
5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely Softens Wax
I used these olive oil drops, in conjunction with “ScopeAround Wireless Otoscope Ear Camera”, to clear both ears of impacted wax. It took me a month. Both my ears had impacted ear wax, meaning the wax was hardened against the eardrum and seemingly immovable.Olive oil is an unsaturated (liquid) fat. It's recommended for consumption as it helps soften and melt the saturated (solid) fats that build up inside our blood vessels. That's why many put it on their food. It's not too dissimilar to what it does with your solid “fatty” earwax. The olive oil softens and melts the earwax it comes into contact with. See pictures for before and after Olive oil applications (2 days between pictures). You can see a distinct sheen from the wax that has been ‘melted’, but this is superficial (on the surface) only. I do not believe olive oil is penetrative in any way; that is to say, I don't think it breaks-up earwax. As said; I used an ear camera with scoop attachment to remove the wax, small amounts at a time, over the course of 4 weeks. See my review of “ScopeAround Wireless Otoscope Ear Camera” for details.I applied olive oil three times per day, softening the wax, then used the scope camera every other day to scoop out the softened wax I could. It took 10 days to clear one ear and another 18 days to clear the other. I did one ear at a time, so in total, around a month.Would olive oil have worked had I just used it on its own? In my opinion, not in my case, as the wax was hardened/impacted. However for ‘normal’ ear wax, I believe it would melt the wax, causing it to evacuate out the ear of its own accord. Sleeping on the side of the affected ear would encourage the wax to move out, a gravity assist.I have tried the Otex drops. I agree with some of the reviews that indicate it changes earwax to a yellow sticky sludge (used a camera to see), which may or may not be easier to evacuate. The downside of the Otex drops is they are chemicals which can only be used for a short time (few days at the most).Olive oil is natural, slow working and harmless.
3.0 out of 5 stars The Jury is out
I had an impacted ear and was advised to use this for a week before any cleaning. It somehow managed to get behind the blockage and cause more of a problem. In itself it is easy to use and would probably be good value for money if it works for you. It's trial and error I think!
5.0 out of 5 stars They do what they say they will do, surprisngly
I had severly blocked ears and was advised by the doctor and the pharmacist to use medicated olive oil, so i tried these drops, after a few days i did not notice anything different really, but after a week i noticed the wax was loosening in my ears, i had a lot come out after around 2 weeks.Unfortunately for me i had to get my ears syringed still as i had left it too long, but they said it was a simple job because all the wax was loose.Only thing i would say is, get someone to put the drops in for you, preferably while lying down on your side, massage ear gently for a minute and stay on your side for 5 minutes or so before switching to doing the other ear, it is very difficult to do just two drops yourself as you cannot see it.I gave 4 stars for value and use simply because it is difficult to gauge the drops, they could of put a line on the dropper to indicate correct amount and save hassle, and although its not expensive, it really is only olive oil and maybe 50ps worth.
4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely works
Definitely clears up the wax, although was using in conjunction with a syringe and the results aren’t as exciting as I was hoping, worth it to clear any blockages though
Miracle eardrops!!
Let me tell you something I have been taking my son to the ENT for years to have ear wax removed from his ears and even with their high-tech fancy machines and overpriced doctors' bills they could not get all the earwax from his ears. he had lost his hearing due to the build-up. The eardrops worked and my son could finally hear pins drop on the floor afterwards. If you are in search of eardrops that work look no further.
Not bad
Good
Great for loosening the wax and skin blocking my hearing
Super easy to use. Just follow the directions and in under a week all good to go.
