5.0 out of 5 stars Great bag, room enough for my full-frame and a couple of lenses
Debated long and hard before going for this bag. As always the biggest challenge is working out how big it really is and whether the capacity is sufficient.I needed something lighter and smaller than my main camera bag, lower profile too, for day-trips carrying my full-frame Nikon and a couple of lenses. After a lot of pondering the slingshot caught my eye, not only because of the excellent access it gives you to the camera space without taking off but also being able to pull the bag round when travelling on public transport. Far less annoying for other passengers and a bit more secure for the top space if it's in front of you.Has worked out grand. Plenty of room for the camera with a 28-85mm onboard and the wide angle and prime in the adjacent pockets for when needed. The top space easily has enough room for a day's snacks, even for me, front pocket big enough for stuff you need ready access to and a side pocket that's big enough for my trusty battered water bottle. The straps are easily moved around to thread through the water bottle cap to keep it safe in the pocket. One nice touch is the wider rubber handle on top. A few of my old bags just had a strip of fabric. Whilst functional and obviously strong enough they haven't been the most comfortable way to carry the bag in a confined space, especially when loaded up for a day trip.Although early days quality matches what I've come to expect from Lowepro. Very pleased.
5.0 out of 5 stars Top Quality
Top quality design and materials from Lowepro for this Slingshot. I have around a dozen different bags from different manufacturers including Lowepro, Billingham, Tamrac. I needed something for taking my mirrorless camera when out cycling and this fits the bill perfectly, it is lightweight, yet holds plenty of gear and has sections for other essential items non camera related. I love the fact that I can put a small tripod on the outside and it is secured adequately with the supplied straps.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great bag, but.
This is a great bag. It's packed with features. I like the tripod carry on the back, the numerous pockets for storage, the compartment for a jacket, etc. It's a very comfortable bag to carry, and being a sling bag, it makes for effortless and quick access to the camera. However, it does mean that the camera compartment is relatively small, and I needed to return the bag as I couldn't fit my camera and additional lenses.
5.0 out of 5 stars A good camera bag at last
After many years trying different types of camera bags and cases this Lowepro 150 AW slingshot is the best for my needs. Easy to carry and importantly to be able to get the camera out quickly were the key needs but also to be able to hold extra lens, filters, spare battery, memory cards etc. I also wanted a bag I could house my iPhone, wallet, passport etc. plus a few cables and sun glasses. My camera is a Canon EOS M5 with 18-150mm zoom lens plus 11-22mm wide lens. The camera section of the bag easily holds the camera lens and filters etc. You could fit a much larger DSLR with a moderate size zoom lens. In my opinion, this is a perfect travel bag.It also has a place for a small tripod plus drinks bottle.Very well designed - well made and first impressions are how small the bag looks. This has been one of my better buys! highly recommended
5.0 out of 5 stars They should have called it The Tardis
First up, I'm a big fan of sling type camera bags having owned a number over the years, just find them more convenient to use than backpacks particularly if you photograph on the move (gun and run is the fashionable phrase, I believe).Being a Lowepro this one is very well made with quality materials and is very comfortable to carry. Did a full day out recently and had my Lumix G9 with the PL100-400 attached in the main compartment along with the Lumix 14-140ii lens, spare batteries and remote shutter release. The top compartment was plenty big enough for my Nikon Z6 with the 24-200 lens attached with room to spare. The outer (full length) pocket had lens microfibre cloth and a set of 67mm filters and the tripod was strapped securely to the back. No problems carrying it around all day long.On another trip when I just took the Nikon with the 24-200 in the main compartment, this left oodles of space in the top compartment for all the normal personal possessions that you carry about with you - wallet, mobile phone, face covering, monkey nuts for the local squirrels. In other words, it's a very versatile bag. Don't be fooled by it's compact dimensions, it really can hold quite a lot if you give it a bit of thought - highly recommended.
5.0 out of 5 stars All in all an excellent buy at a good price, very good for travelling (but check the capacity first)
I bought this case after my previous one (same concept, same make) died (in fact the main zip went kaput and could not be fixed). This one, of about the same size, seems to provide slightly less capacity. Why? Because it is much more padded (which probably is a good thing). The main compartment is smaller and cannot accommodate anymore my SLR and three lenses (including a 55-300 mm zoom). I had to remove that one to the top compartment which is now very large (I used some padding of the previous bag and some glue to build a compartment in it for the zoom). So you had better check the capacity first in a “real” shop.Another change: instead of opening “outside”, the main compartment opens towards one’s breast – better to avoid a camera fall.Lots of various pockets and, of course, the indispensable “raincoat”.Very useful for travelling indeed.
4.0 out of 5 stars I took my Nikon DSLR and a friends 300mm lens quite comfortably. There was space for the charger
I bought this bag for my trip to Wales, mostly for visiting the various narrow gauge railways. I took my Nikon DSLR and a friends 300mm lens quite comfortably. There was space for the charger, and importantly for a bottle of water. I do agree with others that placement of a camera stand at the back of the bag can be uncomfortable, but I feel that the bag catered for my needs.

Very compact and handy
Bardzo poręczna torba. Łatwość wyjmowania i wkładania aparatu beż odpinania pasa.
A nice sling bag
I have been using the Lowepro Slingshot Edge 150AW bag for a while, the 150AW is a very convenient bag for a short trip, but now that I planned for a long trip I need a larger bag to carry some more essential items and I have chosen the Lowepro Slingshot Edge 250AW for it's larger compartment on the top and at the bottom.I am very happy that Bolo shipped this bag real fast, this bag is designed the same way as the smaller 150AW except larger in size which is exactly what I need, since I don't carry extra lens the top portion of the bag is perfect for a light rain jacket, a hat, sunscreen, snacks, some basic camera accessories such as lens filters, a power bank, and some cables. When fully loaded this bag feels very light when carrying on the back, thanks to Lowepro for the nice weight distribution design, I like the hidden strap to secure the bag when ridding on the bike or running. The bag is well made and the padding provides much protection for the camera and the accessories. The camera compartment is good for mirrorless and small size DSLR, there is enough room for small lenses and accessories. The zippers are very smooth and easy to use. It has a mesh pocket on the side for the water bottle, and it has straps for a small travel tripod on the front panel. There is a couple of pouches behind the front panel for pen, key, and maps, the map pouch is not recommended for an important item such as a passport since this pouch is not secured. On the top of the camera compartment there are two small pouches behind the elastic band for SD cards, keep the SD card in their own plastic container and put it in the pouch behind the elastic band to secure it. The top compartment has a mesh pouch for small items, at the front side there is a deeper pocket for a small tablet, I wish Lowepro would put a zipper on this pocket so that it can be used for important travel documents, in the middle there is enough space to put essential items that I had mentioned above, at the bottom of the bag there is a rain cover in the hidden pocket which is very useful in downpour situation. It would be nice if Lowepro would add a secured pocket inside this bag for the important items such as a passport, include a strap to secure the water bottle and that would make this Slingshot Edge 250AW a great bag for day trips. In summary, this is a very nice bag for people who like to travel light.
A quality sling bag
I have been using the Lowepro passport sling III for a few years, this bag is light and easy to carry around and it has an expandable pouch for travel, but while it is a convenient bag it lacks many of the features that I need, such as the strap for a tripod, a water bottle retainer, so I was in search for a suitable sling bag for a long time until I came across the Lowepro Slingshot Edge 150AW.Bolo shipped this bag real fast, my first impression was the bag looks so small, but it actually is quite spacious compared to the passport sling III, with everything transferred from the passport sling it still has more space for additional items. When fully loaded this bag feels very light when carrying on the back, thanks to Lowepro for the nice weight distribution design, I like the hidden strap to secure the bag when ridding on the bike or running. The bag is well made and the padding provides much protection for the camera and the accessories. The camera compartment is good for mirrorless and small size DSLR, there is only enough room for a small lens and accessories. The zippers are very smooth and easy to use. It has a mesh pocket on the side for the water bottle, and it has straps for a small travel tripod on the front panel. There is a couple of pouches in the front panel for pen, key, and maps, the map pouch is not recommended for an important item such as a passport since this pouch is not secured. On the top of the camera compartment there are two pouches behind the elastic band for SD cards, keep the SD card in their own plastic container and put it in the pouch behind the elastic band to secure it. The top section has a mesh pouch for small items, at the front side there is a deeper pocket for a small tablet, I wish Lowepro would put a zipper on this pocket so that it can be used for important documents, in the middle there is enough space to put a small zoom lens, a baseball hat, a light windbreaker, snacks, etc., at the bottom there is a rain cover in the hidden pocket which is a big plus.I wish Lowepro would add a secured pocket inside for the important items such as a passport, a strap to secure the water bottle and that would make this Slingshot Edge 150AW a perfect bag for short trips and casual photographers. In summary, this is a very nice bag for people who like to travel light. For those who need to carry more items consider the Lowepro Slingshot Edge 250 AW.
