About this item:
Do not use boiling water, even hot tap water can scald. Holding the hot-water bottle by its neck, fill carefully to a maximum of 2/3 to prevent any water from splashing back. Gently squeeze the bottle until water appears at the neck insert the stopper and tighten. Check that it is sealed. Avoid contact with hot surfaces, oil, grease and direct sunlight pointed and sharp objects. Do not allow anything to rest on the bottle. After use, empty the hot-water bottle completely and keep in a cool, dry and dark place. Uses: For relaxation and a feeling of wellbeing. Also effectively relieves pain when heat therapy is recommended, such as peristalsis and circulation problems, relaxation of muscle cramps, and relaxation of menstrual cramps. Not to be used for: Feverish conditions, inflammations etc. In case of doubt consult your doctor or pharmacist. Warning: Do not heat in a microwave or in a conventional oven. Hot water bottles may lead to burns, therefore avoid prolonged contact with the skin. Do not use with any added substances such as cooking salt, essential oils etc. If children use the hot water bottle, adult supervision is recommended. Check the hot water bottle and closure regularly for wear and damage. We recommend replacement after five years. Please retain the instructions for further use. Great quality hot water bottle. It is not made of natural rubber, the material is a modern plastic, but it is a great heat conductor and so incredibly flexible that it adapts to your body, it almost feels 'fragile' because of this flexibility but it is not. I know it is not supposed to be used as a pillow, but I sometimes do, and the weight does not seem to be a problem. It has a small pattern, not very raised and it is not ribbed, which it is great for a close contact with the bottle and to feel the heat. Wide opening, so the hot water can be poured in easily. Again, I may be the only one here, but I always fill it in with boiling water, have always done all my life. My previous natural rubber bottle lasted about 6 years until the rubber started crumbling inside (may have been because of the boiling water), but it was a decent amount of time to last. I have been using this bottle for about 5 months and between 3-5 times a day when I work from home (I carry it with me to easy pain around injured areas as back/neck/shoulders). It hasn't 'disintegrated' yet with the boiling water or exploded when I lean on it.ADDED NOTE: It keeps very hot for a long time, and warm for several hours.

Seemed a good quality item as soon as I unpacked it. Nice vibrant blue rubber material and absolutely no rubber smell at all. The funnel at the top is wider than other HWBs I've had so there's less chance of hot water splashing your hand when filling it . The filler screw cap seals without too much tightening effort which is good as the filler cap "wings " seem a bit fragile. I like this HWB and look forward to it heating the bed in the coming winter nights.

After years of buying and scrapping hot water bottles from across the Pacific we found this and it is reallly excellent. It has a larger than the ususual Asian filler neck (which counteracts splashback when filling) and seems to stay warm much longer. Above all is the peace-of-mind which comes from having a product without fear of scalding or the disaster of a rupture. The delivered price in Northern Ontario, Canada was about CA$20.30, about 55% more than the price charged for the garbage hwb's sold in drug stores / chemists in Canada.
