5.0 out of 5 stars Durable for Aggressive Chewers
I have previously purchased Benebones for my French Bulldog, who typically destroys toys within minutes. This chew toy, flavored with real bacon, has become an essential part of our evening routine, keeping him occupied while he winds down. What I appreciate most about this toy is its shape, which allows my dog to easily hold it between his paws. This makes it comfortable for him to chew and helps him enjoy it more. We've tried a variety of chews over the years, but we always return to Benebone because of its impressive durability. Unlike other products that barely last an afternoon, this one can withstand my dog’s chewing without showing significant signs of wear.Overall, if you're looking for a tough and flavourful chew toy that holds up to aggressive chewers, I highly recommend the Benebone. It provides excellent value and keeps my dog engaged for longer periods.
5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps pups teeth clean
Lovely taste, long lasting, adored by pups and no dental bills!
4.0 out of 5 stars Very tough and durable but puppy isn't very interested in it. Rocks around too much. Update!
Ok, I have a 20 week old standard labradoodle, so quite a large lass. We bought the medium having looked at the manufacturer's description and guidance on size. It's HUGE. That's absolutely NOT a problem - we loved the size. Good value for money, we thought. And it's very strong and durable. The main problem, where my dog is concerned, is that it rocks, slides, and tumbles every which way when she tries to settle down to chew it. It doesn't keep still long enough - and she gives up very soon. She prefers to chew the legs of our wooden chair as they remain in place and not try to escape. And I wonder if it might be too hard for her still - it is really seriously very hard. She's quite a chewer and polishes off rice bones in a matter of minutes, gnaws through the legs of our chairs (one has to go soon or it will collapse one day) So she has roughen out the surface but not really a dent - that could be a good thing from one point of view - it sure is durable!Hence the three stars as it doesn't seem to interest my dog that much. Even with the bacon flavour it supposedly possesses - I can't tell and I'm not about to do a taste test myself.Update - puppy is now suddenly showing signs of liking this! She's managed to hold it in place by pressing her paws down onto it, and pushing it against a wall - and she will gnaw at it for a good 10 mins or so.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fab product from a fab company
The image shows this, the wishbone benebone and a tragically neglected nylabone. Benebone products are fantastic, great for strong chewers and very safe. This is the first time I’ve had to replace in 3 years, so value actually works out to be superb - especially if you add up the cost of the ignored alternatives scattered around the place!
5.0 out of 5 stars Aggressive Chewer!
We have a staffy jack russell cross and he will spend most nights having a go on this, it is not his first choice but he will chew on it to wind down in the evenings. It is very long lasting and is probably the best chew we have had for him will 100% be ordering more
3.0 out of 5 stars Great too but not for avid chewers
My dog loves this chew, however this is not for tough chewers. 2 weeks in I had to take the toy away as she is basically eating plastic. Its a real shame as she really seems to like it…
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for power chewers
I have a year old golden retriever who powers through all of his chew toys within a couple of days. This one has lasted really well (over a month now and still going strong). I have purchased Nylabones in the past but find the chewed bits become sharp and make his gums bleed. This one is hard enough to be durable but doesn’t become too sharp after chewing. Bought the large and it’s the ideal size for him. Have just bought the wishbone too. Will definitely stay with this brand.
5.0 out of 5 stars Three weeks in and doing well
I bought this for my dog who is a super-chewer and so far, three weeks in, the toy is holding up well. It's a little frayed at the end but not to the extent I'm worried she will swallow anything. I can just cut off any frayed bits.To put this in context, my dog is an ex-puppy farm dog who can chew through concrete, so this is doing well. She has it during the day and probably chews on it for several hours a day.I should say that her teeth are worn down (because of her past) so perhaps a dog with bigger teeth would be able to do more damage. But she's still pretty good at destroying most toys (and wood, concrete, gnaw at stones etc) so this, so far, has been a good one.I don't know whether the supposed peanut taste actually makes any difference. I bought two, but my other dog totally ignores his and can't be bothered with it at all.
Durable and good for heavy chewers
I have 2 dalmatians who have chewed through soooo many toys. We bought these in multiple shapes and have not had to replace a single one. They are great for heavy chewers. Their favorite is this shape
Best Chew Safe Bone that doesn't break your dogs teeth!!!
Love this benebone as it doesn't break my dogs teeth, it's not too hard like most products are at the petstore.Plus it lasts a long time.Functionality, Dog love.
