About this item:
Tim Tam - 6 PACKS of the most irresistible chocolate biscuit Each packet contains 11 Tim Tams, each biscuit consists of two layers of chocolate malted biscuit sandwiching a light creamy chocolate filling, all coated by a thin layer of textured milk chocolate. Three types of chocolate in one biscuit is more than any chocolate lover could wish for. Tim Tam biscuits were named after a horse that won the Kentucky Derby! In 1958 Ross Arnott attended the race day and decided 'Tim Tam' was the perfect name for his new biscuit. According to Arnott's themselves, what makes the Tim Tam so special, and sets it apart from all the other chocolate biscuits out there, is the filling - this unique creamy richness is delicately made up from hints of butter, vanilla and, naturally, delicious chocolate, to give the whole delicious little biscuit a slightly caramel taste. Arnott's claim that 1 out of 2 households have a packet of Tim Tams, selling around 35 million packets a year! No wonder that Arnott's Tim Tam's have become somewhat of an Australian icon and piece of Australian history.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the hype!
I've been wanting to taste these for yearsss and always ate penguins as a substitute - finally took the plunge with buying a pack of 6, as although they are very expensive, it was definitely much cheaper than buying just the 1 pack! When I took the 1st bite - wow! They really are as good as people say. I find they are much creamier and the biscuits are looser and crunchier than a penguin which are more hard (I love penguins don't get me wrong!), but I prefer Tim Tams overall as they taste a little less sweet too! They're still very comparable and both delicious however, but Tim Tams get the edge from me!Only reason I knocked off -1 star is because at least THREE of the packets had a small tear/rip where the opening was, so no idea if they are stale or even worse, anything gotten into them?! Biscuits however were perfect in that they were all in 1 piece and no white powder/discolouration in sight. They also expire in October 2024 so nearly a good year before they expire! A nice little treat to have every now and again!
