Our cocoa butter is a hard, brittle oil that remains solid at room temperature. It is derived from cacao or cocoa beans. The process of obtaining cocoa butter involves grinding the cacao beans and then heating or pressing them to separate the cocoa solids from the fat. Our cocoa butter is refined, white to cream in colour, and has neutral scent. It won't influence the colour or scent of the finished product. Cocoa butter is used in soap, body butter, skin and hair treatments as well as lip balm. Highly prized for its moisturising properties, cocoa butter is the touch of something special in many recipes. Cocoa butter offers numerous benefits and versatile uses. Similar to shea butter, cocoa butter is rich in fatty acids, which hydrate and nourish the skin while enhancing its elasticity. Additionally, it is abundant in phytochemicals, natural plant compounds that boost blood circulation to the skin and decelerate the aging process by shielding the skin from the harmful effects of UV rays. Cocoa butter is commonly used to soothe skin irritation and smooth out dry skin, wrinkles, scars, and other blemishes. This cocoa butter melted down perfectly and was lovely and moisturising, but didn’t have that fresh chocolate smell of other cocoa butters I’ve ordered before. If that doesn’t bother you then I’d recommend this product, but it did bother me as I was expecting that lovely scent.

I ordered a few products from the company but only the cocoa butter did come as a shredding. I purchased shea butter at the same time but it came in a block. However, I did gently melted the cocoa butter and I put it into a container.If I could wish I would be happier if they would take the effort and send it in bigger pieces.
