    This was a replacement for the slightly dented Sigg lunchbox our son has had since he was 17 at agricultural college. The original one has been used for lunch in the outdoors on a weekly basis, been knocked around in trucks, dropped, had bits of tree fall on it (he is a tree surgeon and is now 34!) So thats 17 years of hard wear, and the original one is still used on a semi regular basis. Basically they are as solid as anything and the price is good considering the durability.

    I think you can now ignore the negative reviews regarding the seal, it now has an inner lid to go with the inner box, well done sigg for listening to the customers.On another note I ordered a silver box but received a green one (which said outa stock) but that didn't bother me.Been using for 2 weeks now and I love it, it also gets looks in the canteen.

    I was blown back by the weight of the item. I was expecting something lighter with it being Sigg and also made from aluminium. With the promo photos of people with this with their backpacks or taking it to work I expected something to live up to that. As far as I know, this item doesn't keep the food cold or warm - so I see very little benefit with the weight.While it looks nice it performs the same as a spillproof plastic container. I believe the only difference would be that the plastic interior can be placed in the microwave. But as you have to wash the plastic container anyway, so to avoid washing the metal one, there seems to be very little benefit. I returned it.

    I bought this lunchbox and paid top dollar for what I believed was a Swiss made piece of kit. Nowhere in this listing does it mention that it is in fact Chinese.

    I bought this for my daughters packed lunch. I love the look of it. Green anodized aluminium! What could be wrong with it? It's really heavy compared to a normal sandwich box and my daughters bag is heavy enough already!The clips are easy to open accidentally. The inner liner is not silicone as the product video would have you believe. It is rigid like a sandwich box. You open the metal lid and inside there is another lid for the liner that just comes away. That's going to get lost and the Aluminium box will not clip closed without it. The metal box is pressed aluminium and is bent over at the top edge to form a rounded edge a bit like on a can BUT it is poorly finished and although the corners are fine there is a sharp edge to the front, back and sides. I couldn't belive it on a sandwich box I just paid £24 for. It looks great and it is a top brand but avoid it like the plague! I can't even send it back as I destroyed the box before I actually opened this thing

    Già conoscevo le scatole SIGG, che, essendo realizzate in alluminio erano adatte ad una gita nei boschi ma non ad esser messe nel micronde dell'ufficio.Questa ha superato il problema poichè contiene al suo interno un vassoio in gomma siliconica che, estratto dalla scatola di alluminio, può esser messa nel forno a micronde per riscaldare in contenuto. Il vassoio interno è ditato di separatore per portare due cibi diversi e può esser lavato in lavastoviglie.Veramente un ottimo prodotto, consigliato.

    EDIT: Beide Zusendungen waren von Anfang an undicht.

    EDIT: Ich habe die erste Zusendung zurückgeschickt und einen Ersatzbekommen. Leider ist die zweite genau so undicht. Hier wurde offensichtlich mehr Wert auf Optik, statt auf Funktionalität gelegt. Geht wieder zurück. Neue Produkte von Sigg wird es bei mir nicht geben.Die Dose ist wunderschön, sehr leicht und fühlte sich stabil an.Allerdings war sie von Anfang an undicht: die beiden Klammern rechts und links rasten nicht ein, d.h. sie halten den Deckel garnicht nicht fest.Sehr schade, da ich die anderen Produkte von Sigg eigentlich gut finde.

    Die Merkmale kann ich noch nicht bewerten, da sie noch nicht lang genug im Gebrauch ist.Sie fühlt sich jedenfalls hochwertig an und sieht mega schön aus :)
