This honey has the caramel/toffee kind of flavour your would expect from manuka honey, though a bit less rich than many others I have tried. The consistency is noticeably softer than most others I have tried too. Nice enough but not the best in flavour and texture. I haven't obviously noticed any health benefits myself from manuka honey - there are no proven benefits, though there are plenty of people out there who swear by it, and good luck to them. The price seems favourable compared to other manuka honey with the same UMF/MGO rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Deliciously Pure Cloudy & "Grainy" Honey
The media could not be loaded. This Manuka honey from Comvita is delicious. It arrives with the lid securely sealed and a further freshness seal underneath that. Once open, the honey is a lovely cloudy golden yellow colour. Although appearing "grainy", mine features little crystals but these soon melt in the mouth, when eaten off the spoon (as I do).I've included a little video which I hope you find helpful.There is no nasty aftertaste, it just tastes so sweet and pure. It is a lovely honey.

The honey tastes delicious and I'm in awe with the medicinal and antibacterial benefits of manuka honey. The honey is well sealed with a safety lid and a foil seal on the tub itself. While the honey is very good I find the price very high so it's definitely not for everyone. I personally find it a touch expensive so I've removed 1 star for that reason.

When it comes to superfoods, Manuka honey is one of the best with it's many health boosting properties which has been backed up by many scientific studies over the years & been proven effective for treating everything from a sore throat to clearing up infections & boosting your immune system.I've been using this honey for a couple weeks now & absolutely love it, it goes great with pretty much everything i've tried it with so far.I've mostly been using it in my green tea & adding it to my smoothies although with the cost of it i do try to use it as a treat ingredient instead of having it everyday.With this Manuka Honey having a UMF score of 5+ it means it's in the lower end of the UMF ratings, however i feel at this price point its a good middle ground as you can still enjoy the rich flavourful taste & get some of the health benefits of Manuka Honey without spending a fortune.Overall i've really enjoyed trying this Manuka Honey & would definitely buy more again in the future.

Comvita is a well respected Manuka Honey brand in the UK and a well researched brand in the top rated sellers online. This particular one is UMF 5+, which is decidedly at the lowest rung of the ladder when it comes to the unique manuka factor which in essence, determines the goodness in quality of the anti-inflammatory properties.The higher the content, the more powerful anti-inflammatory effects it has. The most powerful Manuka honeys exceeds 200mg/kg of leptosperin - the anti-inflamatory agent. The highest is quality has a UMF rating of 24+. The lowest has 5+.The flavour is pleasing. Not astringent as is the current one I've been using from a high street store. It's mild for a Manuka, more complex than a UK pollination standard floral honey.For an everyday Manuka, not for a specialist need, this is a very good, and to top it, well priced Manuka.5 stars
